Happy Thing #1: Today I shed another knitting albatross. Without any guilt and with a certain degree of relief, I tossed the lace baby blanket I'd begun when we started trying for our third child. It was some beautiful knitting, and would have made a gorgeous ( Read more... )

I'm really glad to be done with that particular burden. And socks! I don't even like knitting socks! But I love this yarn still, and it's too tiny to do much else with it.

Well, you could do a scarf or wrap/shrug or arm-warmers or cowl? There's an amazing cowl pattern on knitty this winter that would look beautiful on you.

True. There's a smoke-ring cowl pattern from Knitty I think last winter that would work, too.

I actually have four pairs of socks queued up for the coming year; I may not get past the first one, but I like the idea of wearing socks I've made that fit my long skinny-bone feet.
