I went down to 14th Street to sketch cowl necklines and dolman sleeves for our draping professor. She was right, the bit between 9th and 10th Avenues is especially wealthy in drapery, and I came back home with six or seven sketches of each - some garments even had both features! First week of my second semester at FIT completed! I spent most of today working on our first project for Fashion Art & Design - it's a collection based on menswear from the past century.
