LyricsI like the older Broadway musicals because of the words that tumble out and they stick in my brain. I couldn’t reproduce the music for love or money. But I can sing along to most of the songs of

we are "Song Sisters"!
i can do stuff from the '20s
my father grew up on Long Island
his uncle owned a move theater and "Vaudeville House"
my father went into NYC to book acts and see the shows
i learned all about it
i always loved to sing and started singing very early
i can remember being maybe 3 and singing
and by 7 i knew all the popular songs
if i can't sing it it doesn't "speak " to me

I couldn't message you but you have been in my thoughts and asking
we had a similar shock with a dear cat

I love the old musicals, especially The King and I. But new ones too, like The Greatest Showman. And definitely agree about contemporary music. My playlists are all from the 50s to the 80s.

And, again, I'm so sorry about Little Cat. I think most of us have been there, too.
