Yesterday I went to the ophthalmologist. The records from the old one hadn’t been sent. The CA place wouldn’t send them directly to me, only give them to me if I went there in person. I changed the fluorescent bulb but I couldn't put on the plastic casing (whatever you call it) that usually goes over naked fluorescents. I think it's a two man job. But the light is in the laundry room and we're not fancy. So it's good ( Read more... )

The one thing I miss from my home is the way things would dry fast. Bath towels, hand towels, kitchen towels, a half hour after using they’d be dry. Here, it’s a damp environment, we grow moss. Things stay damp for far too long ( Read more... )

Yesterday I tackled the cleaning of the stove top. I don’t have a range but an electric stovetop and a separate oven. I replaced the dead light bulb and washed the filter (which had an unsettling collection of bug carcasses).
