And I didn't even realize that I was covering my face until after the movie when I tried to recall the sparkle scene and immediate aftermath (along with probably a few other parts that I can't recall).
But I by no means disliked the movie as a whole...

This was one of those moments for me too. Why does his glittering make that tinkling sound? Since when does reflecting light have a sound effect?
And why does he crouch frog-like all the time?
And, glory, some of the dialogue.
All that said, I wouldn't say I disliked it either. There were some parts I thought were really well done. I really need to see it again. The first time I was with a group of friends who were all talking and laughing through it, so I wasn't as attentive as I might have been.

Some of the dialog, my goodness. Cheese city to the point it's impossible to listen to.
I wasn't as attentive either. I really want to see it alone now, but the ticket price is so ridiculous around here that it's out of the question. My sister may take me to it on Thanksgiving but I doubt she'll be able to stand the movie.

Haha. There are things like that in all movie adaptations I think. Overall, it really wasn't bad for what it is.
