In vain I have struggled....

The definition of  hum through is taken from an old post on one of my very favorite blogs, Brooklyn Arden because she says it so much better than I ever could.

hum through the verb form of the noun hum-through moment, stolen from the fabulous movie reviewer Ms. Linda of Popcorn Lobby many years back, this basically describes any moment you wilfully ignore the lack of logic/rampant stereotyping/utter stupidity of the characters/other objectionable feature of the entertainment you're taking in in favor of closing your eyes, putting your fingers in your ears, and humming until it passes, thus allowing the entertainment to continue to function in defiance of your logical brain. Most commonly used in reference to the huge gimmicks and resulting totally illogical behavior of the characters in bad romantic comedies and action movies.

I "hum through" the Twilight series.

Except for when I can't because the tinkling sound of the sparkle as every foreseeable difficulty vanishes into perfect bliss is SO LOUD that even my most vigorous humming can't drown it out.

This is not necessarily my opinion of the movie, however, which was pretty much what I expected it to be. Meaning that I was occasionally forced to cover my face with my hands while watching.

The beginning of the ballet studio scene was pretty awesome though. Definitely the best part for me. And seeing the movie did kind of make me want to reread the book so...

Also the wish list for the New Moon movie was possibly the only time I will ever agree with almost everything said on an MTV blog post.

Don't hold me to any of this though. I have a long history of completely changing my opinion on second viewings.
