As those who follow my Twitter know, I'm currently attempting to make marmalade from the mikan in our yard. The recipe I'm following requires a lot of simmering and I've been working on this all day. I also need to babysit it, so I've moved my laptop to the kitchen counter ( Read more... )

I was planning on creating a Christmas package with loofah, mikan, Meyer lemons and the haramakis (which are on schedule for shipping from Japan in early December). (^_^)v

The marmalade...if it turns out okay. Never made any kind of preserves before, so I have no idea who it's going to go.

(^_^) I have some on reserve for you guys. I think we're picking some more this weekend. I'm planning a package for the Awesomesauce (see above reply).

My mom has sensitive skin too and she's okay, so I figure most people would be okay. But yeah! Our loofah are also 100% organic. (^_^)v

It's such an amazingly convenient plant. (^_^)

What what what! This is so timely, because I was just reading about eating loofah today. Apparently they're yummy when they're still small.

Home-grown loofah. Too awesome. :) (Not to mentioned the mikan!)

Wow! Yeah, I remember seeing a bunch of recipes when I was looking up what to do with the plant once it grows.

I don't know how many we'll have of the actual loofahs, but we'll definitely have seeds, if you'd like me to send some your way. (^_^)v

whoa, I never knew those things were natural! My mom has one and I always wondered what they were. You really do learn something new everyday.

Ya know, I did not know until this moment that those things were vegetable and not actual sea-creature sponges!

That's what I thought they were too until my mom suggested we grow some. It was a confusing few minutes until she explained it was a kind of gourd.
