in the play im doing Joy moves to England for a man she doesnt really know but is friends with. My first reaction is... dude, she moves across the world to be with someone at this point she simply is friends with, whose company she really enjoys.... thats crazy, lunatic, dumb. but then i think about what life is really about and it kinda comes into

Well, you certainly knew someone that moved a similar distance for maybe somewhat different motivations... but perhaps not too different.
