I knitted myself some colourful armwarmers a while ago, and kept meaning to post a picture. Here they are, in all their cheerful (and somewhat overexposed) glory. I can't take myself seriously when I wear these. It's just not possible.

Well, my left eye is buggered again. I hadn't had a uveitis flare-up for 13 months until today. So I'm confined to darkness, or at least to drawn curtains and a broad brimmed hat, until my eye either decides to get better or bad enough to chase up a hospital appointment again ( Read more... )

I got to the zoo pretty late on Thursday (I tend not to exist before noon) so by the time I arrived, the animals had all been fed and were napping. The lions were trying pretty hard to stay awake, but failing. Reminded me of kittens trying not to fall asleep over their food dish. Kittens that could kill you with ease and feast on your flesh ( Read more... )

Today I went to the Wellington Zoo and took pictures. Mostly of otters, because they're made out of happiness and sunshine. It makes up for the smell.
