...I think I've found the most depressing feature of my job:
The fact that I feel as though my coworkers and supervisors discourage me from doing my job.
I'm now spending most of my days as a reciever instead of a feeder, so I'm at the back of the machine sorting clean and folded linens and doing one last QC check instead of at the front, playing

Now that's just lame. And I agree that that'd be worse. Granted, at least the blame kinda indicates that they care about your job being done.

I love you so, so much for knowing who Rosalind Franklin is. Besides one of MY heroes. Also, Mendel. Yes. Mendel is also amazing . . .

My list:

1.) Jesus. Come on, how could I pass THAT one up? I have lots of things I would like to have straightened out. In fact, I think he should release a statement to the press. ("No, I DO NOT hate homosexuals! Damnit! I don't hate ANYONE!")
2.) Darwin. Absolutely. I think he and Jesus would get along grand, in fact. The discussions! The eye-rolling! The excitement! Heck, he could also make a press release . . .
3.) Stan Rogers. I want to hear him perform live in the worst possible way. Do you think it'd be rude of me, to invite him to dinner and then shove a guitar into his hands and look all puppy-eyed? mmm . . . also, I think both Jesus AND Darwin would appreciate his music. Indeed.
4.) . . . more later. After Jesus, Darwin, and Stan Rogers, I'm having trouble picking favorites. Thomas Merton, Stephen Jay Gould . . . others . . .
