Lush UK Haul!

Oct 20, 2011 17:35

My packages from the UK came last night! They were waiting for me when I got home this afternoon after a night in the city.
I am super excited, though have a couple disappointments, and some musings. All the Lush glory, after the jump:
Lush haul ahoy! )

I order from the UK often because even with shipping and conversion, it's significantly cheaper. We also don't have to pay the VAT in the States.

I definitely went a bit overboard in ordering but I was so excited to try the new stuff and was down to one bubble bar and one bomb.

Wow, I didn't know that. Is it even cheaper than going to your local store?

Absolutely. Otherwise I would just go to the store. :o)

Nice haul! I would let them know that you received broken ballistics. Feedback helps them make improvements! :)

I have never ordered from the UK, but have placed orders on the Lush US site which ships from Canada.
Have never had broken bubble bars, but have had broken bath bombs.
In fact, I saw a notation on their site while I was looking up a few of the bath bombs that said that it was fragile and might break during shipping.
I recall seeing that with Dragon's egg, (Mine broke too,) Twilight, and Mrs. whippy. Which I might add, that one was also broken when I received it.
I will say though that whenever I've ordered from Lush everything has always been very well wrapped, though always in paper. I've often wondered if a combination of paper and bubble wrap or something similar would give the fragile stuff a better cushion, but bubble wrap's not environmental at all so that would not be a Lush thing to do. :-)

There's a ton of glitter in Dragon's egg, and I usually split my bombs into fourths. I kinda looked like a stripper.
