After careful consideration, moerlin and I have decided that it's time for us to end Fun Fic Friday. We had a lovely time with this whole concept and turning it into a weekly thing where we got to enjoy

First, a big THANKS to you and moerlin, for all of your efforts to keep the flame alive. You two have always been incredibly gracious and dependable, as well as artistically talented with often altered (for the better!) visuals you've posted.

You two have been a big reason this comm is still going. It's been a great, long run (when did it start? Before I got here?? I think), but sometimes good things must come to an end, or at least begin a new and different chapter.

You two have done an awesome job (I also want to thank sleeper6 for her contributions earlier in the run). To all of you, and I include everyone who participated in FFF, I say "Well done!!!"

D'aww, thank you and everyone who participated! :) It's been a really fun ride, and a long one, too. The first FFF was on September 16, 2011, with Urban Cowboy as the prompt. Makes me all sentimental just clicking on it.

Thank you so much for participating, I'm so happy people enjoyed FFF this much. We thought about it long and hard and while it's a little sad that this is coming to an end, it's also time to explore new options.

I'm sure they're fine - honestly, ATWT didn't even air in real HD, so it takes some serious wizardry to make gifs look good. ;)

I have only known this journal since late 2012 and I remember being so happy back then that the LuRe fandom still existed after two years since the show ended.
Today I'm even more impressed that it still goes on and I think it is AMAZING what you two contributed to this site. Fun Fic Friday EVERY week. This is so much work and I can't thank you enough for this!
Of course I can totally understand that you cannot keep this up forever. Of course it would be great if someone steps forward and volunteers to continue. I know I wish I could if my life wouldn't be such a roller coaster all the time.
Maybe I could give it a try but only with someone else together. Or maybe we could do something different instead. Who knows? I'm open for suggestions. :-)

Again, thank you so much for everything and promise us not to disappear for good, just because you won't post Fun Fic Friday themes anymore. Haha. I'm going to keep an eye on you. :-D

I'm glad you found the LuRe spaces on the internet even long after ATWT had stopped airing. :) And thank you for contributing so much and for keeping the boy alive!

If you'd like to keep posting, that's great, and I'd of course always be happy to give pointers. Back in the day, alissablue, sleeper6, casaluna85 and I did some brainstorming about possible activities for the comm, and we should still have a list somewhere in case you'd be up for posting different activities. It wouldn't have to be every week (could just be once or twice a month) - maybe it'd be a breath of fresh air that way? I know one of the ideas was a round-robin fic (someone writes a sentence or paragraph, then another person continues), and another one was using multiple picture prompts to tell a story. I can look it up if you'd like, and we'd be up for posting things like this once in a while, too. No disappearing act. :)

I will definitely get back to you on that! Unfortunately my January is crazy full with jobs and other stuff so I won't be able to take time and brainstorm. But I was going to write you a PM anyway because I recently watched a certain biography you recommended to me. Hehe. So you'll hear from me soon!!! :-)

FFF is a big reason why I keep coming back to this site. Thank you both for posting a new FFF every week. I enjoyed all the new fics written for FFF and rereading the old fics that were recommended. I will miss FFF very much. Thank you for all the time and effort you put into keeping this community alive. ❤
