Quickie Recap: For today's episode may I suggest a drinking game where you gulp down a shot every time you hear the word "time?" If you want to get rip-roaring drunk, take an additional shot every time you hear the word "heart." It’ll help you get through certain parts of the episode with serenity and humor!

I agree that there are some holes in the story. Its hard to know what they cut out but I'm sure it was more repetitive nonsense regarding Douche or Douche Deux. If that was the case I'm glad it was cut. The most ridiculous part of this was Tom getting his brother on a transplant list. DD didnt want heroic measures. He said that repeatedly yet there they are calling a code, shocking him, and placing him on a transplant list against his wishes.
In spite of his change of mind I think Reid had a point with Katie. She would be adding stress to Chris blubbering and crying she did need time to pull together before seeing him. Someone should have suggested the same to Kim.
Getting back to our guys its kind ofhard to understand why Luke was there other than his involvement with Reid but it did give us some sweet final scenes to remember. Im sure the "Dr. Oliver/Mr. Snyder" thing was something they did quite a bit.

You are so right about all of the extra efforts made for Chris when he said he didn't want anything above and beyond. Argh!!!!
I've always thought that Reid was right about sending Katie home to get her act together. He was the one who lived with her and knew how she was coping with Brad's death.
I'm glad Luke was around even if some of it was completely inexplicable and ridiculous. I'm sure it saved paying more salaries to just have one character perform all those duties.

However, I find the John/Luke convo incredibly bizarro. If John was going to ask anyone about Reid, he'd ask Bob or Susan or someone else on staff, not his ex's grandson! But rather than bring in another actor and pay them, the writers used Luke in all sorts of ways to fill gaps in what they had written. JMO.

Van was wonderful from the day he started. It's so disappointing that they didn't do too much with his character for that year or two that he was part of the NuKe whining act. I always FF'd their scenes....they were so irritating. I was so happy when they started showing more of Luke without Noah early in 2010.
Thanks so much for all of your comments. I enjoy reading them and know it takes a while to write all of it out.
