Quickie Recap: For today's episode may I suggest a drinking game where you gulp down a shot every time you hear the word "time?" If you want to get rip-roaring drunk, take an additional shot every time you hear the word "heart." It’ll help you get through certain parts of the episode with serenity and humor!

Aww. There are so many things I love about this episode. I love them so much that I don’t even mind Chris and his irrational talk in it.
I remember the first time watching Luke going after Reid at Java and asking that question “Why is it that you run away anytime somebody says something that you don't like?”
Reid’s answer: “Um, 'cause I have a -- do I really have to answer this?” made me laugh so hard I almost fell of my chair. And he looked so damn cute when he said that.
Honestly…after all these years, I’m still trying to figure out what Reid had intended to say with “cause I have a…”.. What do you think he wanted to say? He has a what? I really have no clue. ;-))
Moving on to Luke’s accusations of Reid not being able to love kinda reminds me of Luke’s big accusation scene with Noah right before they had sex the first time. He also accused Noah of not being able to show his feelings. Maybe he had hoped that it would work with Reid the same and that he would get to have sex 5 minutes later. LOL Just kidding… but honestly… I wouldn’t mind watching that. :-P :-P
Still you have a point, tldreamer. I never thought about that if there were scenes cut out because of Helen Wagner’s decease. Maybe there were some LuRe scenes in which Reid couldn’t show his real feelings for Luke. Or maybe there weren’t and they only made Luke say those things so that he could let it slip that he told Noah that he was in love with Reid. And of course the BIG BAD ANVIL WARNINGS could have been a reason as well. That way they could make Reid look like a real hero at the end because he showed the whole world that he wasn’t a heartless bitch. Aww… I’m getting angry now. I need to change the topic…FAST!!!!
“Hold the phone”… yeah that’s better. I love it when Reid says that and the surprised “What did you say to Noah?” is just gorgeous. I bet he wished he could have witnessed that conversation with Luke and Noah himself.
Damn… it’s getting cuter every second between them.
Luke: How come whenever I don't like something that you do, I'm overreacting?
Reid: Mm, yes. I see a definite pattern.
Aww… I could watch conversations like that between them the whole day. I’m still getting goose pumps when Reid tells Luke he won’t tell him he loves him cause Luke would just think he’d try to defuse his anger. Luke’s “Yeah. You’re probably right.” Is so adorable and hopeful at the same time. It is so obvious that he longs for Reid to say those three words!! *sigh*
Moving on to the scene with Reid and John: I really enjoy watching those two. Reid questioning John’s work makes me realize that for the first time he kinda acts more emotional than rational. He can’t stand to watch Katie or anyone else he loves suffer and he wants to act as fast as possible. Poor Reid. It hardly happens that he can only stand aside and watch, not being able to do anything himself since he’s not a cardiologist but only a neurosurgeon.
The scene with Luke and John is a VERY BIG CONFUSION for me. First of all Luke acts like he already saw John since he arrived in Oakdale. (But he didn’t or do I have Alzheimer’s???) Second I can’t get into my head since John hasn’t seen Luke for years he immediately senses that he (of all people) knows Reid very well and asks him about him. I mean nobody had told him that Luke and Reid were a couple, right? And he also couldn’t know that Luke was on the medical board unless somebody told him off screen. So these whole questioning about Dr. Oliver is really out of place.

I don't think Luke had seen John (or at least we didn't witness it) before that scene. As you know, Reid, Bob, Kim and Chris did. There was a scene earlier in the day where he and Katie finally made it to Memorial, but John had just gone into DD's room. And don't forget, Luke was there when Reid made the call to get John.

However, I find the John/Luke convo incredibly bizarro. If John was going to ask anyone about Reid, he'd ask Bob or Susan or someone else on staff, not his ex's grandson! But rather than bring in another actor and pay them, the writers used Luke in all sorts of ways to fill gaps in what they had written. JMO.
