ESS: King Lear/Much Ado pictures, cast video during rain-out; ESS-narrated HIV documentary

Jul 25, 2014 01:03

How about a bit of a random ESS update since it's gotten quiet around these parts - hopefully everyone is off doing fun summer things, like seeing Shakespeare in the Park, maybe?

Going from most recent back to a couple years ago - King Lear, Much Ado, After the Fall )

Thanks for posting these! I really like the gray in his beard, for some reason...

You're welcome! If the graying rate is constant, maybe he can finally play Lear in 20 years or so... ;)

It's always a good time to have an ESS update!! Thanks for this! Wish I could find something to post about VH.

Ha!! That made me laugh so loud that I hope I didn't wake up a neighbor! :) And ESS gets to kiss her too (twice)! I hope there will be lots of photos of him in his different costumes. (As Edmund climbs up the ladder, his attire gets better and better.)

I think so, too. I don't really follow what Van's doing as much (well, I have the ESS stuff delivered to my e-mail, so it's not like I actively do anything most of the time, but can't be bothered to set it up for Van), but I hear they filmed/are filming the first episodes of what was to be Ms Guidance in Boston, so there should be news at some point.

*stares at inbox* *searches hopelessly for detailed report*
I hear the lines are insane and that some people are "offering" their "line sitting" services for a mere $75 a ticket - craziness. But with this cast...

And ESS gets to kiss her too (twice)!

I think you've just made a lot of people jealous by relaying this, heh.

She kisses him and then he likes it so much he grabs and really kisses her. *swoon*

ETA: I'm so happy to hear that they are filming Van's web series. I look forward to seeing it!

You, my dear, are eeeeeevil. I think I'll have to dig out videos of other productions and then just imagine. Sigh. (Man, I don't think I've ever seen Lear performed live. Huh. Though why that surprises me I don't know, it's not like I'm a big Shakespeare fan.)

Heh, me too. You're welcome!

And while I have you here, thank you for the (basic) horse racing knowledge I now have. Came in handy when I went to the races for the first time a couple weeks ago. :)

Glad I could help--but I hope you didn't lose too much if I'm the basis of your horse knowledge, lol!

But seriously, I hope you had a great time. I love going to the track to see the horses.

It was definitely interesting - not sure I'm gonna go again, but I'm always up for new experiences. And it helped that I knew the basics of betting thanks to you. It was a family- and newcomer-friendly event where they let everyone place a €3 bet for free (yay for getting people into gambling...), so I didn't lose any money. Unfortunately, I let my friend talk me out of betting on the horse that was blind in one eye and of course he ended up winning (after being spooked once when he couldn't see another horse approaching), but it was fun nonetheless. :)

Wow! Thanks for all the goodies.

I'm loving the hair and the beard.

I'm really looking forward to checking out the documentary. It's been on my list to look for. So thanks so much. *hugs*

You're welcome - always happy when there actually is something new to post.

Fair warning, if you only want to see the documentary because of Eric, don't get your hopes up too much - there really isn't that much that's narrated... but I still really recommend watching the whole thing.

I was rather looking forward to listening to his voice for a good amount of time :) But the documentary looks worthwhile anyway.

Yeah, sorry about getting your hopes up. But hopefully his recent run of getting cast in amazing things will continue and then we'll get to see and hear more of him soon.
