ESS: King Lear/Much Ado pictures, cast video during rain-out; ESS-narrated HIV documentary

How about a bit of a random ESS update since it's gotten quiet around these parts - hopefully everyone is off doing fun summer things, like seeing Shakespeare in the Park, maybe?

{Sniff} You're so good to us lazy fans. I want to give you fic in return but I can't seem to focus on writing for more then ten minutes. :(

Aww! I'm happy to share - and don't worry about the fic, it's always a happy day when you share another slice of Luke and Reid's awesome life, but it's certainly not expected. So no pressure. :)

Thanks for these. My favorite is the song along. Theater geeks. :)

Theater is just the best - love the communality of it all the most. :)

I haven't posted anything here in ages but came across this link (hope it works) that has a montage of scenes from Lear including ESS kissing Annette Bening and a short portion of his swordfight.

Hope it works!

Thanks for the link and info!

I'm actually just screencapping the video and was gonna make a post with it and a couple other King Lear bits, but if you'd like to do the honors, please feel free (like, really, I don't actually like being in this sort of teacher position where I dole out the info).

Plus, the Public Theater was nice enough to gif the kiss already.

I'm not technical in the least so have at it! But isn't it great? The swordfight, too, is just amazing! I wish they would release a video of the whole thing!

I knew it was coming because tldreamer already gushed about it upthread, but I still squee'd a little bit. ;)

Ah, I wish. A lot of big theater productions, if not most, are filmed professionally, but mostly just for the ever elusive archives. It's a shame, but I get wanting people to be in the moment and, well, getting audiences to the theater. Just sad for those of us who don't live in the vicinity...
