Luke walked into the apartment to find Reid watching TV. At least, that's what it looked like but his eyes were closed and Luke swore he could hear snoring coming from the older man. Luke closed the door and made his way around the couch and into the kitchen to grab himself a water. He then plopped down on the couch, away from Reid and grabbed the remote, changing the channel.
"I was watching that."
"You're eyes were closed."
"I was listening to that."
"Now you can listen to this." Luke replied, stopping the channel on the movie, A Few Good Men.
Reid sighed, "Where were you this morning?"
"Oh, you actually noticed I was gone."
"Luke, don't be like this."
"It's better then being ignored."
"I'm sorry about that, okay. I just needed time after seeing you and Noah kissing."
"You couldn't have just told me that to my face a week ago?" Luke turned to look at his husband, "At least have woken me up before you left instead of leaving me a note?"
"You realize you didn't deny kissing Noah back."
"Oh my God, Reid!" Luke jumped off the couch, "What are you fishing at? Are you waiting for me to say I want a divorce because I want to get back with Noah? Do you want me to tell you that I kissed him back? What the hell are you trying to do, exactly? I know you still have doubts that Noah is out of my life, but seriously..."
"I don't have doubts."
"Yes you do. Why else would you leave for a week right after Noah kissed me, without even talking to me about it first? We've always talked it out when something happens."
"I'm done." Reid got up and headed for the hall.
"What does that mean?" Luke asked, his voice almost a whisper, "With this conversation or us?"
Reid stopped and turned back to Luke, "This conversation. I need time to think."
Luke laughed, "A week in New York didn't give you enough time to think?"
"Luke..."
"No," Luke interrupted him, "You want time, you got it. I'll even give you more space."
Luke stormed into their bedroom and to the closet. He grabbed his suitcase, tossing it onto the bed before returning to the closet and grabbing his clothes, throwing them into the suitcase as well. He could see Reid standing in the doorway of their bedroom.
"Luke, where are you going?"
"I'm going to stay with my mom." Luke replied, zipping up his suitcase, "Call when you're ready to actually talk and you don't need more time."
He grabbed his suitcase off the bed and pushed passed Reid. He walked through the living room and left the apartment, slamming the door behind him. After tossing his suitcase into the back seat of his car, he got in and left the parking lot. Only, he didn't drive to his mother's, or the farm. He went to the Lakeview. He knew lying to Reid about where he was going was not a good idea, but he didn't care at the moment.
