Reid's all about science, Luke's trying to see the ethical side of itmoerlinFebruary 8 2014, 14:40:19 UTC
A while ago, I came across this video that unfortunately won't embed here. Teaser: "Imagine a world where information can be downloaded straight to your brain. It's not as unrealistic as you might think."
I think that kind of research would be right up Reid's alley. So what if one day, he ends up discussing certain aspects of it with Luke and Luke's not exactly pleased at the direction this is all going? (I know that's very broad and general, but maybe there's a way to bring this back around to a chip being able to "cure" Luke's addiction, and you could take it from there. FWIW, I don't think Luke would go for it.)
Reid is a renowned and talented neurosurgeon who is going through a bout of feeling old and washed up. Then in walks a young neurosurgeon (Evan?) who idolizes Reid. At first Reid is flattered and feels renewed, and everyone else is charmed by the kid doctor's sincerity, but quickly things start to turn south. Reid suddenly starts to feel over shadowed by the the young doctor (Everett?), and he becomes convinced that he (Evander?) is making moves on Reid's MUCH younger boyfriend, Luke. Will Reid pull his head out of his ass before his life crumbles around him, or will the next child prodigy seamlessly take Reid's place in Memorial and Luke's bed?
Luke hated being one of those people that always had their nose in their phone, but ever since Casey suckered him into playing Candy Crush, that was exactly where his nose was. He tried his best to only play it while alone or when he was waiting in line, but sometimes the allure was just too much
( ... )
Reid laughed impertinently. “Reason number one why these games are stupid: instead of using trial and error, or logic, you can easily move on with cashLuke’s mouth dropped open in disillusionment. “You…? You paid?! God, Reid, I could have done that
( ... )
How do you do it? I was going through Luke and Reid's emotions all at the same time or something. And then I had to laugh at Luke's reaction to the proposed sex. Way to be enthusiastic, Luke. :D
But ugh, Reid, Reid, Reid. Using boosters is such a no go! Totally with Luke on that one. And yes, the ingredient levels are the worst. I hate it when you have to move ingedients sideways for them to be able to drop at all.
I know I say this every time, but I love love love domestic!LuRe. Just hanging on the couch, watching tv? D'aww. ♥

Luke totally always hands him his cell when he's stuck on a level, yo. And then Reid solves it immediately.
