Leave it to Luke to want to try to fix people (and their opinions)--hee! That's why I love him.

But this is my favorite part:
at this time he squeezed Reid's left foot in the middle of the heel and bit his own lip,
Any time feet is mentioned in LuRe fic puts a smile on my face. :)

Ah! A foot fetishist! I do believe Reid has beautiful feet, but to me his hands (fingers) are more appealing :)

Who Would You Be?

“Can’t I just be me, Luke?”

“Of course you can. You’re so good at hiding things so no one will ever suspect.”

Ethan grinned, lifting his spoon in the air. “I’m good at hide and seek.”

Luke laughed, nodding. “Yes, you are.”

“Natalie never finds me,” Ethan said proudly.

“I never find you,” Luke said before eating a spoonful of cereal.

“Hi, Reid,” Ethan said, waving.

Reid, running a hand through his semi-wet hair, smiled as he grabbed a bowl from the cupboard and sat across from Luke and next to Ethan at the kitchen table. Ethan, as was customary with Luke’s siblings, had spent the night at Luke and Reid’s the previous night. Because they didn’t sleep over all the time, Reid didn’t mind it . . . as long as they weren’t screaming acting like animals

“Bully Beater! I’d fight the bullies in schools so they can leave all the kids alone.”
Reid smiled at Luke. “He is so your brother.”

Reid poured milk over his cereal and then held out his spoon to Ethan, who eagerly tapped it with his own.

Reid stepped behind Luke, close enough to whisper in Luke’s ear, “What did I do?”

Luke threw the bowl into the water and turned around to face Reid. “Don’t ever use that name again. You know I don’t like being associated with him. And is that really what you think I am, shifty like him

Reid leaned closer to Luke until their bodies touched. “And I’d hate all those people ogling you in your spandex suit.”

Best. Reason. Ever.

Reid laughed. “That’d be just a cover so people would never suspect that The Operator was in the most loving, monogamous relationship. And also, the villains won't be able to get to you if they don’t know about you.”
Luke kissed Reid. “Aww, my hero.”

*Sigh* Don't you just love declarations of love Dr. Oliver-style?

I do love writing and reading Reid talking about love. You just know he really does think about what to say and means it too. It's good that he's blunt that way.
