~Fun Fic Friday~
TGIF! It's the day before the weekend, and what better way to close out a long week than with a fun dose of ficlets and drabbles of Luke, Reid, or Luke & Reid? Or how about some amazing icons or graphics of the guys? (Don't be fooled by the name - Fun (Graph)Fic Friday just didn't have the same ring to it.) Here's your chance

"I can't imagine what this must be like. They deny your identity. They make you feel you're an outcast. They take away your rights. Now, they're even threatening to take away your children. Your children, Reid, can you imagine that?"
"I don't do politics, Luke. I'm a doctor. I took an oath, I sweared by Apollo. But no, I can't imagine that. But it's happened before, you know. Different groups, different people, different places. Different times. But same old story. History repeats itself, in another bad, sad way. We never learn."
Luke was fuming. He'd come home earlier, his briefcase stacked with paperwork he had to go over for his foundation, deciding he could do all that on the couch, feet in Reid's lap. Both their schedules had been loaded lately, leaving them little time to spend together and this way, he thought it would cut both ways - they could catch up with their reading, Reid always had a pile to go through, and their feet (and maybe even other body parts) would get their long-deserved attention. If only the things he had to read were less antagonizing.
Reid turned another page of his journal and continued reading.
"But you're not completely apolitical, are you? I know for a fact you donate a percentage of your salary to certain causes. And," at this time he squeezed Reid's left foot in the middle of the heel and bit his own lip, "... have done so for so many years."
Reid's leg twitched. "Owww!" He looked up, pen twirling between his long fingers. "Yeah. Of course," he stated matter-of-factly. "I don't do politics, but I always have an opinion." He shifted a little on the couch, making sure that in the process he stroked a certain area of Luke that he knew Luke would like to be stroked at.
"I know!" Luke chuckled. He had put his papers aside and now was using both his hands, kneading Reid's feet. "That opinion of yours is hard to ignore sometimes..."
"It's just one of my features."
"One of many." Luke shifted too, his hands now travelling up Reid's legs.
"Mmmhmmm. I have more, you know..."
"I know..." By now, Luke had climbed on his knees and came crawling toward the other man on the couch. "You're not a brain surgeon for nothing. You could operate on their brains?!"
"God, it's worrying how your Grimaldi genes seem to have the upper hand sometimes!"
"It's what brought you here, isn't it?" Luke closed the distance between them.
"It's what brought me here!" Reid sighed into the kiss, completely happy with his situation.

But this is my favorite part:
at this time he squeezed Reid's left foot in the middle of the heel and bit his own lip,
Any time feet is mentioned in LuRe fic puts a smile on my face. :)

Had to end it on a light note - life does go on and we all (think to) know where a scene like this is heading. I can only hope I did not change pace too quickly, but I got tired and wanted to finish it. And *facepalm* Reid swore -wish I could fix that :( Anyways - thank you so much, your comment made me smile!
