I'm quite stunned that as little as 15 years ago, people could not only not accept that others, including their closest relatives, are gay, but that they could also be so utterly blind, indeed unwilling to see, as to why said others wanted to not hide who and what they are.
You're right, we really have come a long way.

But with no grandparents, thankfully I was spared that...although by all reports my Paternal Grandfather was very like me, I suspect he would have been OK with it.
