First midnight screening for me last night and it was amazing.

I haven't gotten a chance to read many reaction posts on lj (twitter & fb are full of squee though) but can I just say? New favorite HP movie. Splitting the book was the best decision of all time. OF ALL TIME.

Ahhh ~shaking and crying! I probably won't be able to see the film for a couple of weeks (FML), but I'm so pleased about all of the positive reactions the film is receiving. Can I ask, was Ron/Hermione given their proper due in the first half? WAS MALFOY MANOR AMAZING?

YES YES YES, so many cute R/Hr moments!! There was a very weird little H/Hr moment but it quickly diffused into dorkiness so it was ok.

Malfoy Manor was duly DISTURBING. They did something other than Crucio but it was even worse, imo. And Tom Felton was brilliant as Draco.

WHY CAN'T YOU SEE IT FOR WEEKS??

I've made my peace with the fact that Kloves loves H/Hr, so I'm totally fine with cute moments between the two of them (I love their friendship anyway) as long as R/Hr get their due.

I might have mentioned this in the last entry I made eons ago, but I HAVE NO ONE TO GO WITH. James will go see it (begrudgingly), but he doesn't do opening weekends, especially not for huge films like this. The more I think about it though, the more I think I should just suck it up and go see it by myself sometime after work next week (since I'm done at 9:30 a.m. hur hur hur).

Yeah, he definitely does not see their relationship as the brotherly/sisterly one in the books, but he's finally accepted the gloriousness of R/Hr <33

Yeah, I remember that post but I thought you'd go see it with James at least :( If you are going to see it alone (which is totally fine!), you should do it this weekend because the theater will be full of HP fans and then you won't feel alone at all :)))

Oh and, Luna was PERFECT.

Man I'm not even that big of a Harry Potter fan (I've read 6 of 7 books and seen 4 of 7 movies) but that image almost makes me tear up. Harry/Ron/Hermione (Daniel/Rupert/Emma) look so tiny and adorable in the first pic but then they grow up and their amazing trio-ness is always there. :')

Aww! Dumbledore may be my favorite character but the trio friendship just owns my heart <3 And it seems like Dan/Rupert/Emma have a similar thing going on so just SO MUCH LOVE.

I agree. I was SO happy with how accurate a lot of the movie was. It's definitely the best Harry Potter film since the first one was released.

I couldn't agree more. I loved that there almost line for line quotes from the book.

The R/Hr moments literally made me squirm in my seat. I adore them so much. Voldie was great! Ummm Dobby!

Annnd my bff got to go to the ny premiere and the after party. Met and partied with the entire cast! So naturally I hate her guts.

There were so many direct quotes! That always makes me happy.

Actually Voldy was a bit weird to me in that first scene at the Manor for some reason, but I got used to it.

A friend of ours, her brother is a publicist for WB. So whenever there is a premiere basically he gets assigned an actor and has to take care of them. For HBP he had Tom Felton and he had him again this year. Anyway, he was able to snag a few extra tickets so my friend got to go to the movie premiere then the after party. Lucky SOB!
