Yeah...so. much. fluffiness. But you liked it, so. I feel vindicated. :D

I love scarves. I have too many. But they're such fun accessories; you can play with them and wear them in different ways and flip the ends at people when bored. But anyway, I'm pleased you liked--I do suspect that sometimes Charles tries too hard to Take Care Of Everyone, because he thinks he should, and Erik isn't used to being Taken Care Of, and then they get these little moments of friction. And then apologies, via the wearing of ugly yet commemorative scarves. (And, apparently, Erik is in the mood for scarf-bondage-experimentation--er, wait, what? *innocent look*)

And also, yeah, would YOU try pinching Erik? Just seems like a terrible and yet also hilarious idea.

How much do I love that Charles and Erik start talking about snake wrangling as a mutation? SO MUCH.

I also adore the bit about Charles' luxurious voice moaning Erik's name. That's a wonderful bit. Mmmm.

I love that both of their thoughts immediately go that direction. Oh, boys. Never change.

And I think there's about to be a continuation of those other interesting bits, after they make it upstairs. With the scarf. :-p

I wonder what other historical/mythical persons and holidays/not-quite-holidays can be attributed to mutations? ...Cupid? Maybe a love pheromone thing. Santa? Maybe some sort of quantum physics phasing or cloning. Easter Bunny? That one's easy: mutation that allows cross-breeding with chickens to produce eggs.

Also, oooh, more naughty bits with delectable voices and nakedness accentuated by scarves.

I think the Easter-Bunny one sounds like something out of Island of Dr Moreau (there's got to be some human DNA spliced in there, too, for the decision-making process of leaving eggs out for people to find...) What other holidays ARE there? Does Presidents' Day count? Because George Washington, come on, total mutation there: no teeth and the ability to withstand freezing temperatures and a severe lack of provisions ( ... )

This is so adorable (and I really love the idea of Raven as all green, must be the Star Trek geek in me).

Poor Erik. He really was kinda cooked the moment Charles rescued him. He should just stop fighting it. :D

Yay! Glad you liked! :D

Yeah, I wanted to write something totally fluffy for this one, because I'd just done the latest James/Michael thing with all the Emotional Trauma (which, granted, I actually really like how that one came out, plus there was top!James and porn), but I felt like I needed something cuddly. And it had to be holiday fic, since New Year's just happened, but it couldn't be New Year's fic, 'cause that's too easy. So...yep.

Hooray for Star Trek geekery! (As my tribble watches me from the top of the television...signed by David Gerrold, no less.) Also, thanks for liking my Secret Mutant fic, by the way! I was hoping it worked okay for both Trek fans and casual readers, and I actually think "The Cage" is a fascinating episode (partly because Pike is such a horrible person really, except for...how he's somehow not, because he's just so obviously wounded), so...it just seemed to fit.

Oh, and back to this one: yes, poor Erik. But it's such a pleasant doom. Complete with ugly-scarf bondage sex. :D

OH, oh oh. This is BRILLIANT. I have literally been sat here laughing out loud.

St Patrick's Day isn't such a big thing in England (mostly because of the whole Not Being Irish thing) but I have always loved it, and shoving Erik headfirst into an American St Paddy's Day is just beyond wonderful. A few of my favourite moments:

honestly, would anyone find him intimidating if he starts liking things?

Erik wonders whether he’s missed some sort of bizarre team-building memo, and if so whether it’s also too late to rethink this whole team idea in the first place.

“Not enough money in the world.”

Please don't impale the children. And then, oh, the absolute beauty as you turn it around to all those things Erik loves and as ever, your Erik voice is perfect, my dear, you have him just right, this damaged and irritable man who really does burn with this love for Charles despite knowing he's an idiot, and mostly I just want to hug you, or them, or some combination of the two ( ... )

Oh, I an happy I could make you laugh! You deserve laughter and sunshine-filled mornings and awesome things. :-)

Making this one St Patrick's Day was totally random--I'd already done Christmas fic in November and Thanksgiving fic around Christmas (I forget, did you catch those?), and I needed something for New Year's that wasn't New Year's, and for some reason the image of Erik confronted by this absolutely baffling holiday just popped up...

The "not enough money in the WORLD" exchange was one of the first parts I had in my head, and one of the reasons this stayed St Pat's Day instead of a different holiday, so, thank you for liking that! :D :D

The beginning, about Erik liking the crisp potentiality of mornings, was one of the last things I wrote, and I LOVE your new headcanon for that, and the way you elaborate it with Erik's memories of pain and Charles's love of comfort (also, of course, the result of memories of pain, growing up) and how their mornings are always compromises. THESE ARE TRUE THINGS NOW.

And also this: this ( ... )

OF COURSE it's the totally wrong holiday (says the one who writes Christmas in July)

But it was absolutely lovely. Erik not getting it and wanting to always hits my every single button, and this was no exception.

Of course it is! (I think this is some sort of unconnected series, all the mismatched holidays...) (also, you did? did I read that one? must go look tomorrow...)

And, aww, thank you! :D :D The clueless-but-wanting-to-try Erik is one of my favorite Eriks, I think. He's adorable. (And also imperfect Charles, trying to take care of everyone even when they don't necessarily need to be taken care of.)
