Strawberry Mochi Ice Cream

May 06, 2008 20:23

Since Jason and I started dating three years ago, he's discovered that he likes so many foods that he either thought he didn't like (tomatoes, lettuce, salad, star fruit, sour cream, etc.), or had never even heard of before. When we first started dating, he was one of the pickiest eaters I've ever met. Well, not anymore!

I've never tried mochi ice cream, but it sounds and looks delicous! I wish we had more Asian influence on the grocery stores around here. Maybe there will be some sort of import store near my new house. :O

Most of our food discoveries have been Disney dishes. We have food in Disney World that we absolutley must have when we visit. They're like traditions. The Panini Heard 'Round the World, The Living Sea's cesar salad, and Uncrustables as breakfast are some of our favs.

Awww, I wish I could send you some! I found the brand we usually buy, but the smallest quantity they sell on their site is 5 boxes. That's an awful lot. I'll check our regular grocery stores to see if they carry it. Most Japanese restaurants serve it as dessert. Do you have any teriyaki or sushi restaurants in your area?

I'll have to remember those Disney World dishes when we go next time! Thanks! ^^

Boo. ;o; Hey, you should let me know next time you and Chris will be going to Disney World because Jason and I want to go back too. Wouldn't it be fun to go at the same time? *^^*

Living in Vancouver, it's super easy to get stuff like this, and it's delicious.
But Vancouver's also all about gelato, in any case, so we tend to have more of it than we do mochi. So good.

Oh, I love gelato too. ♥ We actually have a gelato shop right down the street. Lemon ice is one of my favs!

It sure is! I love the combination of the chewy outside and the cold ice cream inside. Yummm~ ♥ I really like green tea flavor too. Jason was a little apprehensive about trying that flavor right off the bat, lol. Baby steps. ;)

Strawberry mochi ice cream is so yummy! One of the best mochi flavors, for sure. It might be my favorite, actually. Plus, it's extra awesome because it's pink. ♥

Definitely! ♥ I'm always torn over whether I like the strawberry or mango mochi ice cream best.

Heh... I know how Jason feels. Since I met my Connie, she's introduced me to so many different foods that I never new existed, many of them German in origin although some are American. Equally I have introduced her to some English foods (and, of course, Indian food) that she had never tried or never heard of.

International relationships are a wonderful way of spreading good things!

That's wonderful! I always enjoy trying new foods--it's especially nice to find a new favorite! I'm sure England has many foods I have not tried either. ^^

Aw, I wish I could travel to England. I've always wanted to. I've been to other parts of Europe, and I loved it. It's a shame plane tickets are so expensive! >.<;
