First off, there was something I meant to put in yesterday's post that I was unable to get around to because I got called away from my computer before I was planning to post.  So, to begin I'm posting a vid my hetero-life partner jack_is_love17 made me as a gift.  She knew I was getting annoyed with the over-abundance of Peter/Olivia angst (and always about the ( Read more... )

My first Doctor was Jon Pertwee, the third Doctor seen in the early 1970s. Though my favorite Doctor will always be Two...

What a long, strange trip it's been...

Sadly, I've only seen two things with Three, and that's The Five Doctors and the final serial of his era -- Planet of the Spiders. And sadly, with that serial I was rather disappointed. I loved Three and Sarah-Jane and the Brigadier (as well as the rest of UNIT), but the plot for the episode was rather dull...and stretched on for six episodes. I do hope to get my hands on another Three serial soon though so that I can see some more of his era (and companions because I know Jo Grant is a favourite among most Whovians, and I loved her in the eps of SJA she was in ( ... )

Most Classic Who stories are dreadfully drawn out too long. No matter what First, Second or Third Doctor story you watch that will be the case. I think that's why some fans who were introduced to the Doctor via the new series have trouble watching those early Classic stories. They're just so slow compared to the New series.

And yes, Planet of the Spiders was an awful story...

Your beautiful swing sounds like the perfect southern American spot. *le sigh* No wonder you associate so well with Scout Finch! :D

OH, ZACK. You heartbreaker. I was never sure whether I liked him or not, but I think I was far less enlightened than you at that age! :D Fourth wall breakage I DO remember, and I loved that. :) Also: clothes. ;)

EDIT: I loved optimistic Peter/Olivia video!!! I'm sure you've seen this, but just in case. ;)

Dude, I do sound SO Southern talking about the swing thing, lol. As much as I diss the South (full of racists as it is), I guess there are some factors in which I can't deny my roots. Any my love of sitting outside in the quiet on a swing is one of those. And yes, Scout did love her swing, didn't she? I never really noted that until last weekend when I was showing the film to some friends of mine. Yay swings ( ... )
