ATTENTION WORLD.

This thing that we call "emo" is not a fashion statement. "Emo" is not a genre of music. "Emo" is short for emotional. UGH! Just because you went out and bought a string of beads at a thrift store and added a few X's and underscores to your screen name, does NOT mean you are emotional. Communities like emo_fashion make me want to dump rocks

Hey I just wanted to tell you how much i love reading your journal :) I know I dont comment much (I havent had much time to be on) But I really love hearing about your life ^^ It reminds me of being back in highschool. GOD i miss those days. Frikkin treasure this time Jayne, one day it will be SOOOOO gone >_<

And now i shall return to my 'job' where i shuffle papers all day and watch the frikkin clock... omg so fun...

I mean what they're showing off it that they're stereotyping themselves and everyone else. YAY LETS BE STEREOTYPES. AND SHALLOW AND KNOW NOTHING. no.
And then people say they aren't trying to be "emo" well by getting "the clothes" and listening to "the music" and going into "the comunities" you're showing off that you're trying too hard. I mean seriously, who wants to be a stereotype? If you're going to be a stereotype, stereotypes have rules and you can't step out of that rule broundry without stepping o ut of the stereotype that you want to be so much. and then they go and call people who are being themselves, listening to what they like, dressing how they like, posers. so OMGZ they're posing as themselves.
And I'm spent.

I listen to "emo" music but I don't consider myself "emo". I just happen to like the music.

Actually, I'm probably more real emo than most of those kids, considering my mental health...

Yeah, I like the music. I just don't see the whole trend with BEING emo. I mean, if one was truly "emo" I don't think they would be very proud, and joining communities that rates how emo they are. AHH! I hate how it has become this whole trend.

Yeah, that's part of why I dislike it. It's like bands are just singing about heartbreak these days. But some of the music is nice! Some of it gets old though, with the whole gun and bleeding hearts stuff. It gave birth to a whole new genre of annoying fangirls/boys.
