ATTENTION WORLD.
This thing that we call "emo" is not a fashion statement. "Emo" is not a genre of music. "Emo" is short for emotional. UGH! Just because you went out and bought a string of beads at a thrift store and added a few X's and underscores to your screen name, does NOT mean you are emotional. Communities like emo_fashion make me want to dump rocks on a large group of people. It's not about having the font "terminal" in your livejournal, or about having an obsession with dinosaurs. And you know that pair of glasses that are too huge on you? Throw them out.
If you were truly "emo," would you be showing it off in communities? What if it was simply called "depressed"? Would you be wearing shirts that told the world of your medical condition? I don't think so. So what is the deal? Seriously.
This isn't directed at anyone on my friends list, by the way. It's for all of you "emo kiddies" out there.
