Jane could imagine how that latter option would go. She almost wished it on him, for the mess he'd made. Jane crossed her arms and insisted primly, "I am too valuable to the cause to so indispose."

Guarding Crystal City was the task of a lifetime, and for that it denied him the stars, it was a lifetime that Omega Supreme would gladly give twice, if only he had two lives to give. Sunsets over the city were particularly spectacular, the way the faceted spires were set ablaze with split light. He loved how the heralded the coming of the starry night. He had forsaken the stars, but shining down through the towers, he knew that they had not forsaken him. Omega Supreme worried that he lost himself a little too much in the sunsets.
Scavenger scampered over to the Guardian's side and climbed up his leg to rest on his shoulder. The steam shovel beamed at him and confided, "You're the best view in town, you know."
Omega Supreme especially loved sunsets like these, the ones in the company of his dearest friends, and reached up to gently pat Scavenger with a talon.
