Summary: Follows the post-college life of a group of friends and strangers as they get to know each other over the course of a year in a Santa Monica apartment complex.

The next morning found Amy at the beach again and she wasn’t alone, A.J, Alex, Lisa, Tara and Phil also present. Jamie and Eve would be meeting them later, after they’d picked up Christy from the airport.
But in the meantime, the gathered group was getting ready to go surfing, an activity they enjoyed doing together since high school. And in Amy and A.J’s cases, since they were in elementary school.
“Waves look good today,” Alex commented, surfboard at his side, “who’s taking first ride?”
“Already ahead of you,” Lisa replied and then smirked, “try to keep up.”
Amy rolled her eyes, taking her time for once. “It’s really going to suck when we get real jobs.”
Tara arched an eyebrow, “just because we get real jobs doesn’t mean we stop surfing. Come on Ames, we’ve done this since high school. It’s a freaking tradition.” The taller woman elbowed her friend playfully, “and how can you say you don’t have a real job?”
Amy shrugged, “you know what I meant, Tara. I just… you know.”
“Ames,” Phil nudged the redhead with his shoulder, “you’re violating the first rule of the Sunday Surf Club… no real life or grown up business allowed. This is about having fun, remember?”
“Right,” she replied, finally picking up her surfboard. “Let’s hit the waves.”
Truth be told, Amy had never felt freer than when she was surfing, the thrill of it all pumping through her veins and sending her on a natural high that she had yet to find anywhere else. Granted, they were still going to try cliff diving in Mexico, sky diving and bungee jumping, but until then- absolutely nothing could top this feeling of absolute freedom.
