What a beautiful parrot! He seems quite fond of you.

Nice CR? With Lae? What is that-- lunateclock May 31 2011, 05:13:27 UTC
[There's a bit of a blink and--

Oh. Another talking pony...? ....well okay why not. The bird just squawks and ow that was his ear laskndas--]

Ah...I'm not so sure about that.

He is a beautiful bird, though, you're right.

[Aniki had good taste, sob.]

I can still troll you with her. /don't tempt me./ solestial May 31 2011, 05:15:21 UTC
[can't help but laugh a bit.]

I have a large bird myself. I would first suggest setting him down somewhere where he would be more comfortable.

Does he have a stand he could perch on, or a cage to live in?

......I'd like to see you try! >| lunateclock May 31 2011, 05:18:21 UTC
[...oh good advice alksndlas. Who cares that it's from a talking pony? He won't judge, nope. A glance around his room--he doesn't have much in the way of taking care of a bird, because well. He wasn't expecting to have to. But after a moment he gives up and with some careful maneuvering, he manages to get the parrot onto his bed. Not quite ideal, but a little bit better.

Sigh.]

...I'll have to go find a perch soon. I doubt he'll stand for a cage.

[This is a pirate's bird, after all.]

You also have a bird?

[...wait what. The unicorn has a bird--]

-- you have a bird?

I've taken care of a couple flying types; Archeops is one -- maybe I could help?

[Oh--

...well. Anything could help, really, so he's quick to nod, the bird fluffing up his feathers and squawking in response.]

I would appreciate the help. I have to admit that I've never taken care of a bird before.

He seems pretty distressed... would you like me to come try and talk to him?

[Distressed...of course he's distressed. He's away from his actual owner.

But Minato nods, running a hand through his hair.]

Yes, please. If it isn't too much trouble.

Ah, well... I've never dealt with a bird like that, but I have taken care of Skarmory for quite some time.

lunateclock May 31 2011, 17:20:37 UTC
[...Skarmory. Isn't that the name of a Pokemon--.

Well. He can always pass of that knowledge as something he'd learned from N, right?]

Skarmory...That would be a large bird Pokemon, right?

[He is suddenly very grateful that Chibioni is not made of metal.]

...If you have any advice, I would appreciate it.

That's exactly right. I'm impressed you know what they are, not many people here do.

Advice? Well... The most I can think of is with larger bird Pokemon, try to keep yourself balanced while they're perched on you. Their weight can offset you easily and cause them to get scared.

There are a few others from your world here, though I'm not.

[I know them from video games-- I mean. He nods, taking mental notes. The bird on his shoulder seems less than impressed, cocking his head sideways and peering into the screen.]

Alright. That makes sense.

[Though he...doubts much of anything could scare this pirate bird.]

Though taking care of a bird as large as a Skarmory must be difficult.

[He's having trouble with a parrot.]

[Daine's amused; she can't help herself. Parrots are funny creatures, even though they're not her favourites, and it looks as though Minato is struggling. Well, she's been hired to look after many birds once before, so just one can't be difficult.]

They're difficult to look after if you're not sure what to do. Especially parrots; they're fair cheeky. I'd be happy to help, if you want me to talk to him or just give some tips.

[Oh geeze. Struggling is one word, he reaches for the SFC, the bird having re-located to his head. Squawk.]

I'd appreciate the help--I've never had to take care of a bird before.

[Said bird is eying the SFC curiously, head cocked near-upside down.]

[she can't talk to the bird through the SFC through the dreamberry, unfortunately, but she smiles at it]

Would you like me to come over? I can give him a talking-to as well.

[she's noticed that animals do seem to be better behaved after contact with her]

[Her tone is actually rather...reassuring. Of course she knows what she's doing; she's Daine.]

If it isn't too much trouble, I'd be grateful.

[...ehhh.]

He's a little too much for me to handle yet.

[Especially with everything else going on. He just needs to figure things out first.]

You should probably get it a better place to sit than your shoulder.

[Fumbling with that SFC-- and the bird seems to have relocated to the top of his open door. Welp.

Minato looks up at him for a moment before giving up and returning his attention to the screen.]

You're probably right. I wasn't expecting him to fly through my window--

[S-sob. Demon bird.]

If he just flew in through your window, why do you have to take of him? Couldn't you just send him back to where he came from?

I knew the person he belonged to before--but he's gone home now.

[To put it as simply as he can. He shrugs, and the parrot squawks from his perch on top of the door.]

So I'll take care of him.
