Several big yays in my life:

Today I completed the second draft of The Overworld! This means that I finished rewriting it from the beginning to the end. It definitely doesn't mean I'm done working on it. The beginning especially needs another serious edit. The middle and end might not be too far from how I want them to be. But in any case, ( Read more... )

F and I went to Kauai back in 2000. We've been talking for years about going with L and B, so very excited that it's actually happening at last.

Yay for The Overworld! Ooo, Hawaii.

I'm still debating about the MacBook Air. If it had 4GB of memory, it'd be easier for me. Enjoy it!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!! You finished it (more or less)! Wow, wow, wow! I'm so excited for you!!!

That laptop made me just sit there open-mouthed staring at it for a while. Holy moly. Really cool. :)

My laptop has to be at least four years old. And it's OS X 10.3.9 and suddenly I'm finding all kinds of things that I can't do with it (like use one of the new iPod Nanos, or download music from Amazon). I must need a new one, right?

But we really are technological aescetics around here. Our desktop computer is older than my daughter and she just reminded me that she's going to turn 10 in two months. That was kind of a shock to hear, actually....

Add me to the list of woohooers and congratulators (and I'll add a w00t! of my own). Good going. I know it's been a long road, but all the best ones are.

I envy you your new laptop. We actually saw the commercial on a TiVoed show and rewound to see the commercial again. Also, the song for the commercial is way cool. I haven't investigated it yet. (There's also a Levi's commercial where a couple keeps peeling off layers of clothes and personas, and I am digging that song, too.)

Not been to Hawaii yet, either. But friends who have, rave.
