Just some thoughts that sprang into mind after reading Blinkymummy. She was going on about meaningless weddings and I think it sprang from the fact that people were borrowing money to have the wedding of a lifetime ( Read more... )

hey.. was blog-surfing & came by your LJ from sg_weddings.

On this point..i guess it's how the couple perceives the entire occasion & what they like.

For me, I love planning parties, events (non work related).. when I was planning for my wedding dinner, my idea was for it to be more of a party to celebrate with everyone whom I liked & mattered to me. More than half were our friends.. and the rest were our direct relatives. The really obscure people whom I didn't know made up abt less than 10%.

Wedding dinners can be very fun. it's the time when you dress your prettiest and have many friends fighting for your attention. :)

Of cos a good party must be within budget .. no pt burning a holw for 1 night.

Still, very insightful thoughts..
