are you going to trust your "representative" leaders, who jockeyed insufficient bureaucrats into the head positions of the EPA in the first place, to care more about the welfare of the people than the welfare of their personal agendas and pocketbooks?
Perhaps people are tired of hearing me say this, but if you haven't read Seeds of Deception, I strongly urge you to. You'll be shocked to find out just how much power industry has in the USA (and in the UK, for that matter) and while it's the FDA that takes most of the hit, the EPA isn't left out. Strangely, genetically-modified potatoes that produce their own pesticides are partly "regulated" by the FDA, but are considered pesticides rather than food sometimes, and so are "regulated" by the EPA.
We're all guinea pigs, and if you read about gene-blasting and protein folding, I bet you'll be both furious and more than a little scared.
thank you greatly for the suggested read. it's on my 'next 5' list now, so i'll probably get to it in december. i'm sure phenomenaenergy will steal it before i get to read it, which she has quite the tendency to do ^_^
