candiace originally showed this to me a while ago, and i was upset but did nothing. she sent me an email about it recently, and voxsjournal posted, from her, the link she had about it. i finally had something small to say:
under no circumstances can there be a justification for what the EPA is attempting with its newly proposed federal regulation: the testing of pesticides on orphaned, mentally handicapped, and abused children. naturally what they are proposing will never be able to get through since it compromises many rights and laws. but consider this: if they are daring enough to try to pass a regulation this absurd and inhumane, what other horrors might they have passed already about which you are unaware? are you going to trust your "representative" leaders, who jockeyed insufficient bureaucrats into the head positions of the EPA in the first place, to care more about the welfare of the people than the welfare of their personal agendas and pocketbooks? that question is not to say that they do one way or the other, i am simply planting a seed of doubt, if possible. some of our elected leaders are great, some are scum, but it is hard to know a person's heart outside of what they show us in actions. therefore i propose that you do your own investigation into the EPA to determine whether they are acting in accordance with your personal preferences, or if they are only acting in accordance with their superiors'.
if you don't like the government, change it. that's how america came to be in the first place. hold the tradition by being strong individuals to create a strong body of people to shape our government to treat us the way we want to be treated.
here's the link to a site outlining some of the key horrors in the latest proposal:
