Otakon planning is sorta kinda coming together. We're sailing with a bit of a skeleton crew this year, but I think we'll manage.
I have booked the suite for Otakon 2011 already. Also, Katsucon 2011. I'm getting a jump on this shit early in the hopes of conning the Hyatt into giving us a rate that isn't comparable to assault and battery ( Read more... ) -

After setting a new record for procrastination, I've finally started the public preparations for this year's Otakon trip. A whole two months before the con.
Ridiculous X.x It's a good thing I made the hotel reservations before we left Baltimore last year. -
Casting predictions
After, well...minimal discussion this morning, Miranda and I agreed that when the second Avatar (The Last Airbender) movie comes out, Chloe Moretz (Hit-Girl) should play the role of Toph. -

I made Miranda watch Wil Wheaton's PAX East keynote today on youTube, since she's now past all the parts of Dragon Age that he spoiled =)
Then I decided I wanted to take the end of his speech and use it for my gchat status message. It took a long time to cut it down into something that would fit in the 1000 character limit >.> -

Unbelievably awesome show. I had a total blast as an Enforcer.

Katsucon Evolution
The Hyatt Regency in Crystal City will always hold a special place in my heart. It was the site of most of the Katsucons that I've attended, and is staffed by people who genuinely respect and take care of their guests and convention attendees. It was a great hotel, and I have great memories there.

Brilliant idea?
I think all products that come in a box and require any kind of assembly should have a page in the instruction manual that shows how to disassemble it and how to fit it back in the box. It should include diagrams.
Nevertheless, I have finally defeated the Ceiling Fan. Huzzah! -
