Not really. Afterall, I'm stealing something that I should be paying for. My guilty conciounce... (my spelling is terrible today) is overriding any anger that I might have. Plus, I've been looking for a good reason to stop ayway. Ever since that houswife for busted with a 500 million dollar fine...
It's an interesting read about intellectual property.
It's Hollywood's fault, really. They're the ones who keep refusing to join the digital age and make content available for everyone worldwide. They wouldn't be having this problem if they simply updated their business model to fit their costumers.
For instance, I own all the Marvel movies bought from iTunes and I *still* download the Blu Ray quality copies to make graphics. So am I a thief? I mean, I paid for them... I'm just downloading a different copy because they encrypt the iTunes versions in such a way that I can't make screencaps from them. I support their franchises, and I see the movies at the theater and own the DVDs and digital copies.
I think the MPAA needs to sit the fuck down. They've been Gaiman'ed. There is no greater dishonor. I'd kill myself before continuing to live with that shame.
Well, you and I are safe for now. I feel sorry for our pals in the US. Then again they have all those other little first world commodities so I'm sure they'll manage.
Plus there are plenty of ways around it if you know where to look for them ;)
