The Christmas That Wasn't

Was there a holiday? The only way I could tell was the fact that everything was closed. And there was ice covering all of the roads I drove on. Other than that, I couldn't tell. 1:30 am on Christmas Eve, Mom was back in the hospital because she is a diabetic and her blood sugar was 544 and she was starting to get dehydrated again. I feel like I came off sounding all whiny about spending the holiday in the hospital, which wasn't what I meant at all. I really don't care about that, I am just worried about her. Mom is definitely more important than that.
And thank you for the hugs, they definitely come in handy.
