I'm still trying to get out of my insurance plan. I just talked to one of my managers who got screwed over by our insurance in the exact same way I did. She'll get back to me by Monday and... I may just quit my job and reapply.

So hopefully I can figure out something.

Just the fact you offered is making me cry again (I'm a bit sensitive right now) but I have to decline. It's a stupid societally-imposed poor-guilt, but I can't accept money like that. I don't know why, it's just kind of unfathomable to me. I'm floored by your generosity, to be honest. Gives me some hope for the future, really.

I can understand that sort of guilt, yeah. But really, to me it's just following my social democratic principles. The world is unfair and shit, so we must even it out as best we can. My principles are worth very little if I do not live by them. *shrugs* It's not about being generous, it's about being fair. You have nothing to feel guilty about in my eyes at all. *I* have something to feel guilty about if I just let the world be as it is and only cared for myself. That's how I see it. (The US and Norway have different views on wealth and poverty and society, I really do think.)
