Hi guys, it's Umi again! As I said in my last post, Frederic was proposing to put on a musical play and I'm very thrilled to see the feedback I got. This post is to basically iron out the details for everyone and make things a little clearer.

Answer #1: Considering the suggested dates, that is in the middle of the new feather cycle. No objections to it, in fact I'd find it hilarious if someone arrived in the middle of the play (not necessarily on the stage, but maybe in the audience or backstage could be amusing). Just wanted to mention that for consideration (and if anyone wanted that as an intro post idea).

Answer #2: Tia would be glad to help out with catering, sewing costumes and/or cleanup. Whatever needs the most, or all three even!

Answer #3: Fairy tales are fine, means it would work for all audiences at least since we do have plenty of kids in Luceti.

Answer #4: Nothing in particular, I'd just think it a good idea to consider this more once you know who is willing to act since you may get a lot of volunteers, or very few and need a play to fit it.

Answer #5: Nope.

Also, you made a tiny typo in the html in the text box.

Answer #1: Sounds good to me!

Answer #2: Well, she can play the piano, but I'm guessing they have plenty of piano players already. If an acting role is still available, though, she'd take that in a heartbeat. Last resort would be working on the set and/or catering.

Answer #3: It's fine.

Answer #4: Well, Cheria's already played the main part in Snow White. Or, rather, the Tales of Graces version of Snow White. I'm sure she'd love anything resembling it, such as Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty or even Beauty and the Beast. I'm not saying she needs the main part in it, of course. She'd take any role. I'm just saying she'd like the story.

Answer #5: Hmmm... nope.

Answer #1: This is going to get a bit long because I love the idea, but I'm going to be the evil voice of realism here. The reality is one week for something around a one hour show (or more/less) with sets and lights is ambitious. It's not impossible, but it means everyone needs to be on top of their game and not mess around ( ... )

I've began to think that two weeks is better as well and as you said, it would be a lot more realistic in terms of how much work needs to be done in it. Plus, the New Feathers can get more involved seeing as this is a New Feather cycle so everyone has a fair chance of joining in.

Two weeks would also be a lot better on the mental state of the director. Being friends with the director, we talked for hours after ever rehearsal, discussing everything and trying to get stuff ready for the next day, and I know she was putting additional thought and time in doing research.

And if this is a musical, will Frederic be directing the musicians and the actors? There's that to think of too.

Yeah, that's also why Frederic needs assisting directors so they can give off orders to others in case Frederic's not around. But realistic, Frederic's never really done anything like this before and he's even beginning to think that possibly a week is not enough. That's why he said maybe a week, not a definite week on this.

Answer #1: I would very much like that they be later, because I'd like Giles to be involved. At least to a couple of days later would give me a better chance of being able to involve Lina. However, I totally understand if this isn't doable - no harm, no foul, no hard feelings, just my cursing of my horrible timing.

Answer #2: Giles - Set designer, Musician, Catering, Musician, Assistant, Clean up Crew.

Lina - Actress

Answer #3: Nope. I think it's totally workable.

Answer #4: Swan Princess, Snow White, the Mute Princess, Cinderella, anything to do with Robin Hood, Rapunzel, Little Red Riding Hood.

Answer #5: Nothing that I haven't already mentioned.

I could do it later in this month, but October is pushing it due to me possibility moving and it's just a month of reflection for Frederic. But otherwise, that's all I can really say.

Play start date of September 14th and Giles can memorize a script and music sheet very quickly?

That could work, but again I'll consider it.

The only thing about October is the possibility of me moving and Frederic doing a lot of reflecting in that month (since the 17th is his death day), I would be moving in mid-October or so and that's why I'd rather do it now. However, since a lot of people are on hiatus right now such as yourself, I might consider moving it to the beginning of October before I have to move.
