Asking Allen whether or not he was going for food was like asking if water was wet. Without a moment's delay, the white-haired boy was out the door, a look of pure joy on his face. A rather loud rumble came from his stomach, and he gave a sheepish laugh.

Allen frowned, however, as he noticed Lavi's hand, and knew what the other boy was thinking. He himself hadn't yet tried to activate his Innocence, fearing it might not work, preferring, for the moment, to delude himself into believing that it would.

"We'll... fine it, Lavi." He himself did not believe the words, but they had to be said, he knew. "Somehow. We will."

He looked down for one moment, before gasping softly, an embarrassed smile on his face. "By the way, Lavi, I told Maria and Nia -- er, two people I met here -- that they could come with us, since they were looking for food too. Is that okay?"

"We can look into each until we find it." Though beaming at the thought of food, Allen gave a small bow, allowing the girls to go ahead of him. With his sense of direction, he knew it was best to let the older boy lead anyway. He smiled to himself, knowing Lavi wouldn't fail.

Nia didn't say anything. She didn't want to ask questions and wanted to fit in like any other human with wings. She followed Lavi towards the place where they might find food.

Lavi led the way, glancing at the various buildings they passed. Surely, the food store would have some sort of sign on it... all of these looked like houses.

"So, where are you girls from?" he asked, by way of starting conversation.
