[There are two plain boxes on the table. The smaller box contains a puzzle box, a tricky little thing that requires moving the sliding panels a certain way before it opens.

The larger box contains a large squishable Cthulhu. Why? Because.]

[Helios will find two neatly-wrapped boxes, dolled up in recycled paper in an almost-mechanical fashion, with neatly-printed labels clearly affixed to their front. The labels read "To Helios - Happy birthday".

The first box, the larger of the two, contains a classy faux-leather bound notebook, a deep red and shining gold with gilded pages and a golden sun symbol stitched into the centre of the front cover.

The second box, significantly smaller, contains an ornamental pen set, inset on jade glass.

... Someone spent far, far too long on this, clearly.]

[Grune didn't get a whole lot of notice about Helios' birthday. She had been recruited to do much of the baking, but no one had told her why until the last minute to prevent any...accidents.

However, she still managed to come up with a present! It's a pretty African violet with a yellow ribbon tied carefully around its pot. It shouldn't take Helios too long to guess who's responsible for this one, even if she did forget to attach a tag to it.]

[Huzzah! Success! Ginia loves it when a good plan comes together, and even if it's Helios's birthday and all the attention is rightfully his, she takes silent pride in her and Giles' planning.

She'll be making the rounds, saying hello to everyone at the party, making sure there's enough food and drink to go around, and of course, wishing Helios a happy birthday.]

[ Sup Ginia! Helios is looking oh so happy about all this. The decorations, food, atmosphere is perfect! He couldn't be happier and it shows. There's nothing like a birthday well spent with friends and family. He can't remember the last time he's had this much fun celebrating his. ] Everything is absolutely lovely, Ginia. Thank you for...all of this.

[Ginia turns when she hears Helios and beams brightly at him.]

No need to thank me, Helios, it's what any friend would do. No birthday should go uncelebrated. [Even if she ignores her own.] You'll have to thank Giles for getting everything organized. I might have foisted that onto him. But happy birthday.

...Sorry we couldn't get you any strippers. [Trolololo...]

Yes I will certainly make to thank him when I finally run into him. [ Who knows where this will happen but watch it be under the mistletoe for kicks. Helios' looks back at her with his mouth slightly agape. Those sounds? Are the sounds of not having any words. NONE! ]

Ah. [ Why must you troll him so?! Helios can only...laugh sheepishly. ] I-I'm actually not all that upset about that, really.

[ Because, you know, Helios and strippers in the same room is a hilarious and slightly horrifying thought. ]

[So. He didn't expect to be coming to the second large party in awhile, but as far as Robert is concerned, Helios' welfare and enjoyment is worth the effort.

He looks shy and nervous - albeit less so than he did during the Christmas Ball, as he knows most of these individuals - but is more animated, smiling and joining the occasional conversation and not entirely isolating himself.

And whenever he gets a chance... he might try to get close to Helios. When he isn't interrupting, of course.

He can be spoken to during all sorts of moments - checking his journal obsessively to see if Don's alright by himself, rearranging the food on the table if it looks unkempt, cleaning any minor messes without prompting, and in general helping out as much as possible.

Also, this particular cake? The turtle praline chocolate cake? Well... guess who's responsible for it. If only because his mun likes the turtle puns.]

[ Helios will be making the rounds to talking to people who have come. The draft going on is always in the back of his mind and everyone here must have some sort of worry going on within their minds.

But that just means the party needs to be as festive as ever and Ginia and Giles did wonders with the food and decorations. But there is one person he'll hang around a little bit more with. Robert you can have one derpy headmaster walking up to you a very apparent smile on his face. ] Thank you for coming Robert. I-I'm sorry Donatello couldn't come with you though. He should have, I think he would have had fun.

[Robert is more than glad to see that Helios wants to spend time with him, even on his own birthday - it's wonderful to see him so happy, beaming brightly like the ray of sunshine he is.]

Oh, it is... my pleasure, Helios. I am more than glad to be here for you...

... As for Don, it is... difficult weather for him. [And Robert may or may not know how awkward Don was about this. But still, part of him is glad Don's at home and doesn't have to deal with all the people of the party in his slowed-down state.]

... I will make sure to check him frequently, but I believe he is... entertaining himself.

In the meantime... happy birthday. [Robert says it as genuinely as he can.]

[ Helios looks outside at the snow falling. ] I've never had snow fall on my birthday...funny since leaving near mountain you'd think it'd fall all the time.

[Grune, of course, will be talking to absolutely everyone. She'll also be wandering everywhere, although she mostly limits it to where the guests are and the kitchen to help out with the food...and also a few random rooms like the bathroom or a bedroom when she gets confused.

She's very happy to be able to help Helios with his special day and will be in an even more wonderful mood than usual because of it. Definitely come and say hello.]
