Summary: Alexis wants to give a gift to anyone who will take it. Come in, have some standard brunch fare, and chat. It's buffet style, so come and go as you please.

Derek's been thinking, and watching, and reading for the past few days. His memory has been coming back slowly; there are still some spots that are either missing...or simply don't have the same intensity to them as they would have carried had he never left. But still, it's enough for him to want to wander out, try some food, and visit with some old 'new' friends.

Catch him checking out the food, studying the lights the Malnosso have put up everywhere, or sitting on a couch, eating, watching and smiling.

Or...catch him passing under a mistletoe. He probably won't kiss you, but he's up for hugs.

Surely Derek has not forgotten this truly fantastic moustache?

Eggman will bump into Derek under the mistletoe at the buffet table, balancing a plate on his arm that's pretty much in danger of overflowing. Still, he grabs things here and there with his free hand. He doesn't immediately recognise Derek since they've only spoke once or twice, but he makes conversation anyway.

"Ho ho! Have you tried the pancakes? They're exquisite!"

She'll pass him as he checking out the food, reaching to straighten a serving spoon there and wiping down the counter there. She gives him a bright smile as she straightens.

"Everything's good?"

Almost two years. It's been almost two years he's lived in this apartment complex. But having just moved out a few days ago to house 44 was a bit jarring still. He almost walked to CH7 out of principle the first few days. But he'll get used to it, eventually. Helios will be back for one last hurray a plate in hand as he picks at the food being served.

It probably wouldn't be the last time he'll stop by, since Frederic and Poland still lived here, but it's a funny thing on how much you can miss a place after moving sometimes. So don't mind the mulling, thoughtful looking headmaster roaming about the kitchen.

Alexis is a busy thing, making sure that all her serving dishes are consistently full -- or as full as she can make them. For her part, she's a good planner and this? This was all about planning. It's playing to her strengths, in more ways than one.

"Hey," she calls when she spots him. "Everything's okay?"

Helios blinks snapping out of it and looking at Alexis.

"Oh! Yes! Everything's fantastic actually! You did a wonderful job with all this." He'll motion to kitchen and its entirety.

She grins at the praise. "Thanks. It's not much really. I'm glad you're enjoying it."

[One of the residents of Room 22 probably got the invitation. It probably wasn't Giles. So when he passes the kitchen of the fourth floor on his way to the bakery that morning, he...soon backtracks at the sight of the buffet, staring in curiously.]

Good lord.

[It's right at this time that Alexis goes by the doorway with a heaping dish full of scrambled eggs. She pauses and grins at him.] Come on in. There's plenty.

[He steps inside just enough to lean against the doorframe, and watch Alexis this time with mild puzzlement.]

Are you sure?

Absolutely. [She nods toward the food.] I made plenty and anyone is welcome. My gift to anyone who wants to come.

[Smoker's not a morning person, or a party person, but he's there. Because free breakfast is a reason to go do his morning walks in the cold. And he needed an excuse for just that reason. Besides, it can't be too noisy, it's just breakfast, right? Feel free to prove him wrong.]

[When he comes in, Alexis -- a serving spoon in one hand -- gives him a wave. Not too much noise from this corner.] Everything's ready. Help yourself.

Thanks. [Quiet is good. And he grabs some food as he mentally tries to work out how to make idle chitchat. He's bad at this.]

[Fortunately, Alexis is not quite so bad at it.] How's your morning so far? Did you manage to get some motivation for your morning exercise?

[Just as promised, Thor is here for brunch. He even showed up early to help where he could. Not that he knew much in its preparation. But he had helped Jane with it. Once.]

[Alexis will gladly take the help. She's currently scrambling a hell of a lot of eggs and dumping the done ones into large serving pan next to the stove. She'll look up as he enters and give him a somewhat small -- and almost uncertain, since she doesn't know him at all -- smile.] Hey. Thor, right?

[Then that lack of familiarity will be totally fine when he hovers over her, all six foot six of him, to watch.]
