Where: Community building seven, fourth floor kitchen
Summary: Alexis wants to give a gift to anyone who will take it. Come in, have some standard brunch fare, and chat. It's buffet style, so come and go as you please.

[Smoker's not a morning person, or a party person, but he's there. Because free breakfast is a reason to go do his morning walks in the cold. And he needed an excuse for just that reason. Besides, it can't be too noisy, it's just breakfast, right? Feel free to prove him wrong.]

[When he comes in, Alexis -- a serving spoon in one hand -- gives him a wave. Not too much noise from this corner.] Everything's ready. Help yourself.

Thanks. [Quiet is good. And he grabs some food as he mentally tries to work out how to make idle chitchat. He's bad at this.]

[Fortunately, Alexis is not quite so bad at it.] How's your morning so far? Did you manage to get some motivation for your morning exercise?

I did. Though it was more of a walk. [Ehhh running... too early.]

[redheaded_rock]

Well, a walk's better than nothing, right?

Definitely. Still got me out of the house early.

[Nods to her.] You must have gotten up early too to prepare all this.

[redheaded_rock]

Pretty early. [A shrug] I did a lot of the prep work yesterday.

That's convenient. Did it take you long?

[redheaded_rock]

A few hours in the kitchen. [She shrugs.] I honestly didn't have much else to do.

That's not so bad. I would have expected a lot longer for all this.

Good job. You do this sort of thing for your police officers back home?

[redheaded_rock]

Well, I did take a few days to do some shopping.

[She shakes her head.] Not often. Dad was a consultant and they really tried not to bring work home, you know? But I did some cooking for a couple of them once in awhile. This is the first time I've something on this scale.
