[Pao-lin's coming back from getting a cup of hot chocolate when she passes by Odin at Ginia's side. Of course she's going to stop and pet him!]

((OOC: ALSO I'll be tagging bitty!Ginia on the Thanksgiving logpost at some point. Just been distracted with other stuff. :D;;))

It is a very good reason.

[Odin sits up a little and gives a tiny wag of his tail. He may be a big fierce guard dog and biter of bad faces according to one little girl, but he loves pets as much as any other dog.

Ginia is carefully working on some of the details on the feather, but she pauses to give Pao-lin a friendly wave and a smile.]

[She straightens up after giving Odin one last scratch.]

It's looking good, Ginia! Though you should use that reddish-purple color for the shadows on that one, instead of just a darker orange.

[Ginia looks at the picture, then the cup of paint in her hand, and quickly realizes her mistake. Eep! The paint is carefully set aside and her notepad retrieved.]

Thanks for letting me know! Should I wait for the paint to dry before painting over it? That won't cause any problems, will it?

No, no, it's not that big a deal! You can probably mix in the red-purple with the orange while it's still wet, and then just go over it again once things are dry.

[Ginia nods and gives a tiny sigh and a sheepish smile.]

I'll do my best. Honestly, I swear I'm artistically challenged when it comes to drawing and painting.

Watch Odin for me while I get some paint?

Definitely! [She'll sit down next to Odin and pet him again while sipping carefully at her hot chocolate.]

[Ginia also gives Odin a fond rub under the chin before she heads off to get more paint. Odin wags his tail and gives Pao-lin's hand a small lick, quite content at all this attention. Delicious food, all the love from nice people, a home? He's one happy dog indeed.]

[Pao-lin yelps a little at Odin licking her hand, but then she smiles and begins scratching him on his neck. She would've liked to keep a pet like a dog or a cat, but both of her parents were allergic to fur and things like that. Which is not to say that she had any less love for her turtle Slowpoke, but he wasn't exactly...cuddly.]

[Odin lavishes in the attention, really seeming less and less like a big fierce dog and more like a giant cuddly puppy. Ginia grins when she returns with a new cup of paint and carefully sets it down.]

Looks like he likes you.

Well, I like you too, Odin! [She hugs the dog, smiling happily.]

[Odin gives a happy, low woof, then licks Pao-lin's face. Happy dog is a happy dog.]
