[The Librarian, wearing about six leis, is everywhere. He might be handing you your lei as you come in. Or fixing that string of lights hung across the room that fell down. Or perhaps the fruit salad at the buffet table is running low? He'll be along to refill it before you notice. Feel free to catch him anywhere, doing any number of small but important tasks. Or he might even be chilling at the buffet table imbibing some punch and mangoes. Oh, mangoes. Heaven in a fruit, baby.

He might be hogging the mangoes a little.]

[Admittedly, Anri's never been to many parties. She's come to this party in search for someone and the number of people in this place makes her a little apprehensive. She's been keeping to herself at a corner (and yes, she did see that string of lights somewhere to her near right fall), but when a...monkey goes over to fix it, she can't help but blink.

Stare.]

[Where he found the stepladder hardly matters. What should be intriguing is way he merely uses it to hoist himself up, and then spends the rest of the time repairing the light hanging by one arm from a ceiling beam, using mainly his feet to re affix the string. He senses you watching him, and looks over his shoulder, a few nails hanging out of his mouth. (He might not actually be using nails to make this repair, but his canon cares about the look of things and so they just showed up naturally whether he needs them or not.) He raises one eyebrow, and goes back to his repair.]

[Over by the buffet table, Ginia's sets down a new tray of fried chicken, taking a break to admire the wide spread of food as well as the decorations. For a party put together from whatever could be found the hard work of volunteers, it was looking quite impressive so far. Normal, even. She smiles to herself, wondering if maybe she was finally growing used to the pace of life in Luceti. Granted, she hadn't been kidnapped, drafted, or encountered any of the experiments she was so often warned about so she was still green as grass, but things were nice

[Rydia keeps her promise to help and so arrives on time. She isn't dressed according to the theme, but accepts a lei or two. Overall, she seems to be much better though will still leave early just to be on the safe side. The last thing she wants is more lecturing.

But while she's there, Rydia will wander around and mingle. She wants to catch up on what New Feathers she missed while away.]

[And here's the person who told you to only show up for an hour or two, Rydia. With a tray of drinks decorated with tiny umbrellas.

This theme seems to be a huge success. I've heard so many compliments already.

I know! I was so afraid that the whole theme thing might not catch on but it seems like everyone's having fun. [And she gestures at the tray with her free hand--] Would you like one?

[ ................... why is he here? How did he even end up here. Can he leave now? He's got on six leis and he doesn't even know how. There is a grass skirt just sort of chilling out in his hand. It's terrible. At the very least, he feels very .... festive.

He'll just chill out awkwardly in a corner until he finds a pretty girl or other interesting resident to zero in on, just to cover his nerves and thoughts of "this is ridiculous" and "where is Rapunzel." ]

.... Iiiii think I'd rather not. Got kind of a reputation to keep up. The kind that doesn't go well with grass skirts.

[Those New Feather parties always seemed interesting, but Gold never really bothered with them. He had plenty of time and chances to meet people, and it was always much easier to meet them when they weren't New Feathers. Meant he didn't have to deal with their questions and confusion. He hated explaining.

But this one had two points in its favor. First of all, he had two New Feathers of his own to drag there, in the form of tsuntrader and couragefighter. They needed to meet people too, after all.

...The second point was it was a hawaiian luau. Tropical food and even more tropical babes? Hellz to the yeah.]

[It wasn't so hard to convince Red to come, since:

a.) Red always enjoyed meeting new people and
b.) There were promises of food.

So here he was, donning a simple lei and flower-patterned shirt along with shorts. He felt a little unusual in them since rarely did he ever wear something other than his everyday outfit, but it was important to dress for the occasion. At least, that's what the memo said.]

Mm... Something smells delicious!

[It's the first thing Red notices when stepping into the welcoming centre. If he weren't already here with both Gold and Silver, he would've made a beeline for the barbecues.]

I say we should go for grub before anything.

[Silver could argue with Gold. Silver could argue and protest against anything remotely close to a party all day, if he had to.

But something just feels wrong about saying no to Red, so here he is, mostly just tagging along and thinking that this is all pretty pointless.]
