She would have taken precedence over Jin if Ragna suddenly didn't catch her attention; she turns her head and the Murakumo can see him coming in with the Hell's Fang. She can't move from this position--not with the False Hero standing in front of her. So what does Kusanagi settle with?
Barreling away, that's what. Screw BlazBlue mechanics.
Enjoy the moving orbs she'll now be summoning for the both of you. Don't let the lasers hit you!]

Ragna then gets to his feet quickly, going with the strategy that he used back in the fight not too long ago. For now, he'll play defensively. He doesn't want to put himself in a situation where he can't react to Kusanagi's attacks when she closes in, which is inevitable. That, and he doesn't want to be in a position where he's stuck doing something while she goes after Jin. She seemed a little too interested in him.
His barrier goes up to block any incoming lasers. Hopefully Jin would do the same, and nothing drastic.
... Who is he kidding? This is Jin. Of course he'll do something drastic. Maybe not now, but it's only a matter of time.]

But, that isn't important right now to the Major, particularly considering they're on the same side of the blade at the moment, sharing a common enemy. Friendly fire isn't an option and Jin will take extra note to make sure it doesn't happen (again).
For the moment, Jin also takes a defensive stance, using Yukianesa to deflect a few of those lasers before being able to get his own barrier up. He hated playing defensively, but just bounding carelessly after her would be a mistake (a stupid one, at that), and he doesn't want to put himself in a situation where Ragna has to feel that Jin is only getting in the way (like he always does).
Jin'll try something drastic when the time is right, don't worry. You know, the worst possible kind.]

...and that's by waiting for one to charge her. It'll happen eventually, but for now she already knows it's too foolish to charge one and leave the other open to attack her while she's busy.
So with the stationary orbs now surrounding the brothers? Mu is going to let them self-destruct.]

Hopefully Jin would fair better than him in that regard. One of them needs to be on their feet at any given time, otherwise they're both dead.
Or she'll just kill Jin whenever she pleases. She seemed to really want to do that.]

The look on her face darkens when the Murakumo soon catches the major's approach. Had she still been setting off the orbs, she would have had little time to protect herself, but now... she allows for Jin to close the distance before very quickly setting up her guard, using the petals as protection.
Hope Jin doesn't mind that same guard going for his feet right after.]

Dammit, Jin!
Ragna gets to his feet, and starts running forward in a hope that he'd be able to change the outcome of that little skirmish between Kusanagi and Jin. But he won't make it on time. He's just charging forward at this point, and nothing else.]

Why would he do something intelligent like that? Stupidity obviously runs in the family.
But, at the same time, Jin is certainly not helpless nor is he always ill-prepared for the outcome of an attack when it fails.
He isn't all that surprised she manages to block, just from the way her expression had darkened as he approached. It wasn't the expression of someone feeling they'd been caught off guard, rather instead a spider waiting for a fly.
Normally, Fubuki leaves him quite vulnerable for a second or two once he finishes, but Jin's already backing off when he feels the blade slice across the first petal. And thanks to that? Kusanagi's petals will barely miss his feet when she retaliates, the major throwing himself back as far as he can to make some distance, although not quite as far away as he'd like to be. At least he manages to stay on his feet ( ... )

Ragna is too far and too late to save Kusanagi from whatever she has in store for Jin, and the opportunity now is almost perfect. Almost. Maybe Jin's will to live/kill/whatever is what will save him today... assuming Kusanagi's about to whoop his ass here. Opening the distance? She won't let you! The Murakumo is already hot on pursuit after the major, refusing to give him any room.
It's almost as though the Azure Grimoire (and who cares, honestly? it's a fake anyway :|) is at the back of her mind as she remains focused on Jin--no, not just him, but that Power of Order. The force that could be an actual threat to her and the chaos that runs rampant in the world.
But she won't do anything spectacular right now. Instead, she's going to be close enough to start swinging down the petals at Jin a few times, in hopes of slicing him up a bit. And if he guards it? Well. Let's try breaking that guard instead.]

But he has to last.] Jin! Get moving! [Don't try to block shit like that, bro!]

Jin certainly wasn't expecting that and the first petal hits him. It causes him to stumble but stay on his feet, a low groan as he now continuosly retreats, faster to avoid the other petals. Some miss him entirely, others have to be parryed with Yukianesa's sheath. At least one more manages to hit him and he can feel the blood starting to dripped from those two slashes and the pain that goes with it.
This whole backup retreat is stupid. He can't use his own speed and Mu is fast enough as it is under a normal retreat. But shit she really isn't giving him time to do anything other than parry and back up as fast as possible.
But he'll find an opening somehow. And when he does, he'll make use of it anyway he can.]

Fall. [Swing.] Disappear. [Swing.] Die. [Abruptly, the blade grows two times in size as she throws it over her head, bringing it down to cut him down.]

They're still brothers.
Which is why Ragna is going full-speed ahead and yelling at the top of his lungs as he approaches, breaking into a long jump to try and throw a punch at Kusanagi.]

Miss one, miss two, but doesn't miss number three that just mutated into a fuck-you-over sword.
He's down for the count!]
