Ragna doesn't want to do that. It might be easier back home, where he doesn't have all this time spent with her and whatever, but it's just asking for too much of him. For some reason, he can't find it in himself to do it. Just like back in Kagutsuchi. Was it a product of her face and her voice?
It doesn't matter.
He did this with Litchi, even though he was rather angry about the whole ordeal. He could surely do it again, even if it were Noel. But why did this have to happen? Why couldn't she return younger than she was supposed to be, like last time? What kind of sick bastards were the Malnosso to do this to her?
Was it even the Malnosso!?
No, he can't start thinking conspiracies. If Terumi was involved, so be it. He did manage to go under Ragna's radar the second time he was in Luceti. He could certainly do it a third time. He let his guard down, and now he's regretting it. But that's something he can deal with after all this is done with. Nu didn't matter, Terumi didn't matter (yet), and the Malnosso didn't matter. Ragna needs to focus.
Can he take on Kusanagi by himself? Could he maybe talk sense into her, like last time? Maybe.
Ragna just presses his back up against a tree, waiting for an opportune moment to jump Kusanagi in a surprise attack. Normally, he wouldn't do this. But it seemed like she's already killed people in Luceti. He doesn't want to be next, since she was oh so eager to finish what Terumi started back at the Gates.
... As much as he'd hate to admit it, he could use a little bit of help this time around.]

No, nevermind about that.]

... Actually, that's most of the time.
With a bit of a groan under his own breath, Ragna grabs the handle of Blood-scythe before pushing off against the trunk of the tree he was using for cover. If he can't have his cover, then there's absolutely no point in waiting to see if she decides to impale him through it or not. He'd rather get the first hit, if he can manage it.
Just a little closer, and he can work his way out to punch her. Or slash. Something that would be a good start.]

...The Black Beast.
Left.
Abruptly, Kusanagi slashes the tree Ragna was just behind. It's a rather powerful attacking, and even causes it to crash down.
And now? Now they can be face to face.
Why are you hiding, Bloodedge?]

He's always quick to jump the gun, isn't he? Some hypocrite.
Blood-scythe comes off of the back of his jacket, and Ragna readies himself a little. They're face-to-face, and this could always end horribly. If Ragna hadn't did what he did last time, he would have been killed just as easily as anyone else she murdered here. And the power limit won't help his case here.]
Is this how it's going to be, Noel?

Target showing signs of hostility. Caution is advised. [And since she's already in her armor, the only change is that the swords are coming out.] Petals released.
[She won't listen. She's not going to listen to you. What do you know? You know nothing about her.]

Where the hell is the Idea Engine!?
Fucking Malnosso! Fuck them and this fucking place! Ragna growls under his breath, resorting fully into his ready position, with his sword held underhanded.] I don't want to fight you! But if you're gonna do this, I won't hold back, Noel!
Reply
Pointless dribble. [The swords begin to circle Kusanagi.] This is your fate... your end, Nightmare!
Reply
He's so sorry.] Fine! Bring it on! [With a flip of Blood-scythe, Ragna is ready for any attack she decides to throw his way. Just like last time.]

He'd kill that woman the second he got the chance to. Damn her, damn him for not killing her sooner.
Jin expects to find μ-12 at some point (the place is only so big and someone like her with her current tendency for destruction...? Well...); what he doesn't expect is that she already has company. Jin sees Mu first, his brother second and while he had full intention to simply try and jump her (literally, even) he comes to a halt once in the vicinity, eyes narrowing at seeing what is transpiring.]
Brother...!?
[No no NO, he won't let her take him away, he won't let her take away what is rightfully his. She can't kill him and he can't kill her. Jin has to end both of them himself when the time is right. For Mu, it seems that time is now, especially if she's a current threat to Ragna. The Major turns to look at Kusanagi, taking in her appearance for a second.
Yeah, this one is definitely her, isn't it.]
...Noel... Vermillion.

[Taking the time to pause the deadly skirmish with Bloodedge, Kusanagi turns to meet face to face with Jin Kisaragi. Was this really your subordinate? The girl with big, green eyes who could never quite look at your own similar ones out of dread? Shame, even?
She looks at Major Kisaragi as though they had never even met in the first place--a blank slate.] Mucro Algesco: Yukianesa... confirmed.

But Jin was not the back-up that he wanted. Things were somewhat civil between the two at this point, so he didn't want to see his brother up in a fight like this. Not like last time. And this time, Jin was further back in the timeline from back home than he should be to meet Kusnagi in a fight. And he couldn't handle it then, what could he do now?
--And he had Yukianesa!?] Jin, you idiot! Get the hell out of here!

He's distracted for a moment, staring at the Murakumo Unit as she faces him. Blue eyes, not the green he's used to, but something still gives it away. He's not stupid, he's not as out of the loop as Ragna when it came to these things (although, maybe this time Ragna knew more than he), and there's something that just pisses him off about Mu, pisses him off that for all the hate and negative treatment he had and gave to Noel, to think his subordinate turned out to be nothing more than another one of these stupid Murakumo Units, nothing more than useless trash with fabricated memories...
...It's not possible, didn't she prove that to him time and time again since he first met her? Giving Mu a once-over again, perhaps... he's wrong.]
Are you or are you not Noel Vermillion?! [his voice is aggressive, losing patience, and it's only then that he turns to look at his brother, his expression changing enough to reply to Ragna's statement:] I'm not leaving you alone!
[Seriously, did he think Jin would let him get killed by someone (--something--) else? No one touched his brother. No. One. If Ragna was going to die at someone's hands, it was definitely going to be his own, not this poor excuse fake.]

[Unlike all of the other combatants, (yes, even Ragna) Kusanagi could sense a distinct force within the man. She completely disregarded the question--hostile as it may be--in favor of analyzing him.
The power that radiated within him... Kusanagi recognized it.
The Power of Order.
All of the villagers were one thing, but Jin Kisaragi... more than anything, he needed to die, and right now.]

And now it looked like she was going to favor targeting Jin instead.
Ragna is not going to take that shit sitting down. Hell no, he's going to be the one who starts this fight. Right. Now.] Where are you looking!? [And Ragna is approaching. Quickly. With a Hell's Fang.]

It didn't matter.
He hears Ragna's voice and says nothing, waiting to see if she'll turn (his grip is on Yukianesa's hilt and even if he hasn't pulled the blade out yet, he's ready to engage in a fight with her). If she does indeed take her attention away from him, he'll be following up his brother's attack from his position with one of his own: Hishouken.]
