When: November 4th, afternoon.
Where: Probably the eastern forest.
Summary: Tsubaki didn't take the experiment very well.
Rating: PG, possibly PG-13? For a fight, it probably won't be too bad. :| Also, BlazBlue spoilers within if you're trying to avoid them.

[It's quiet. Too quiet... except no. There's actually a cape blowing rather noisily in the wind. Noel should have noticed it by now. Perhaps she doesn't want to notice it.]

[Are you sure you want to head back, Noel? Isn't it fun out here?

[Already, she can begin to feel Bolverk's influence take over her movement as she, too, dashes forward, intent on trying to knock the weapon out of her hands.]

[Not gonna happen, yo. With Noel approaching, Tsubaki comes to a halt and invokes the power of all the light that Izayoi has absorbed to manipulate it into a glowing ring of pure energy that begins to circle her. Get too close, and you'll suffer the consequences.]

[Oh shit, son. When Noel sees what Tsubaki's doing, she stops herself short before she can get too close--but it's close enough. She puts her guard up as Tsubaki releases the attack, managing to skid backwards a foot or two. But otherwise? Not a lot of damage dealt with.

But it was definitely a very strong attack. Noel needs to be careful, and try to get her down from a distance. Which she will as Tsubaki finishes her attack.]

[It sure looked strong but that damage output wouldn't really have been anything to write home about even if Noel had suffered the full force of the attack. :| But shhh.

Uh-oh. Range. This does not bode well.

Tsubaki raises her shield in the nick of time, but now that she can't see in front of her, she knows that she's left herself vulnerable to whatever comes next.] Ugh!

[Not missing a beat, Noel takes this opportunity to get right in and do some old-fashioned Chain Revolver on poor Tsubaki. Namely, mash D she attempts to land a chain of hits on Tsubaki using the guns and the Ars together as a dark aura begins to surround Noel, eventually ending with her driving Tsubaki away as hard as she can by thrusting one gun forward.

It's not a very long string of combos, however. Not this time, and for good reason. She's sorry, Tsubaki. She really is. ;_;]

[AS IF SHE IS. SHIT, WOMAN. THAT WAS JUST HORRIBLE. ;_;]

Aughhhh! [Tsubaki takes hit after hit, with no opportunity to break out of the chain. Battered by the assault, it's a real struggle to lift herself from the ground. She barely gets to her knees before coughing out a mouth full of blood. She is no longer a candidate for being an organ donor.]

[See, that's NO FAIR. Seeing Tsubaki in pain, Noel immediately stops the onslaught right there. She's is perfectly content with ending this right now as she rushes to her aide.]

Tsubaki! Tsubaki, are you okay!?

[That's all well and good, Noel. But this isn't about what you're content with. Tsubaki's a woman on a mission and she can't rest in peace until it's been carried out and you've been expunged from this cold, distorted world.]

Stop, Noel! Don't come any closer. [She applies pressure to one of the more serious wounds that Bolverk has inflicted upon her abdomen before forcing herself to stand once more. No tricks. She's not about to take a cheap shot while you're trying to help her. She needs to do this honourably.]

...Don't assume I'm finished with you. [She holds her blade out in front of her as a warning.]

[Of course, that makes her stop in her tracks before she can move any further. Bolverk is still out and at the ready, but the damage she had dealt to Tsubaki... how much does she need to put out before this ends? Noel doesn't want to hurt her, and having just seeing her suffer like that, because of her actions... it's taken away a very good portion of her determination.]

[Now that there's no confusion, Tsubaki allows the battle to resume.

In a flash of light, Izayoi extends itself into a nightmarish string of segmented blades, whipping through the air in a diagonal motion as Tsubaki pivots on her left foot.

Contact is more than likely to result in serious laceration.

Oh, judicial corporal punishment... when will people learn? But that's not the issue. The issue is... can you dodge?]

[Noel tries to block it, but she's not so lucky this time as the blades manage to hit her rather hard, driving her back a bit. Curse that internal struggle she's having.] Augh!

[It's a good thing those things don't cut someone's arm off.]

[Unfortunately, the follow-up is worse.

The ground under Noel's feet begins to radiate an almost blindingly white light, and out of that glowing pool of light emerges a bladed pillar large enough to give Blood Scythe a run for its money.

Noel had better hope that she's been driven back far enough to be out of reach of this monstrosity if she'd rather die in one piece than in two.

...But speaking of blinding, all of these attacks are taking their toll. All the light that's being used to fuel them... well, it had to come from somewhere, and trapped inside this field? There aren't many potential sources. ;;]

[JESUS CHRIST, WOMAN. Of course, the stupid blade gets her and she's driven into the air as she cries out in pain. As gravity begins to take its toll, however, Noel realizes that anymore of this isn't going to end well. Rather, she just doesn't want to make this worse than it already is, which is why she manages to recover mid-air and jumps away a few feet away--to ensure that there isn't any other follow-up that can get her.]

... [That weapon she has is really powerful.]

[Maybe you can borrow it sometime ohohoho.]

Not bad, Noel. But I can assure you, resistance is poin-- [Suddenly, she's overcome by a familiar sensation, but much more intense than it's ever been in the past. Vision blurring, Tsubaki drops the blade and shields her eyes with a gloved hand. The pain coursing through them is almost unbearable, and there's little she can do to stop herself from letting out a short, piercing scream.]

[When she's cut off by that scream, Noel immediately looks up to see the display. There it is again; the hesitance to continue this brawl getting bigger and bigger. Instinctively, Noel forces herself back on her feet and begins to make her way over to help.] Tsubaki!
