[There is the faint sound of papers shuffling, and of a woman clearing her throat, before Raine comes into view in the video portion. She's clearly speaking, though in a smaller area underneath her image after the video runs for the first time, text comes into view as well - a transcript of sorts.]
Good evening, everyone. The date is March 19th of the third year of our Luceti calender. My name is Raine Sage. I am a teacher at the school here, and the current maintainer of the
guide. These recordings are meant to provide supplemental information that is not represented there.
This current transmission, as most of you should be aware, comes to you through a secure system which is filtered specifically to residents of this village alone; the Malnosso and anyone else who isn't confined to our area cannot access it. I kindly ask that you keep the knowledge of such a system off of the journals - everything that transpires on this page will remain here, but any other discussion is best held in person, as normal communication is under surveillance by the Malnosso Organization.
In a moment, I will re-broadcast the update that was given last month, to help New Feathers catch up on terms and other incidents that you may not be aware of yet. At the end of the replayed broadcast, I will provide a few updates to the current situation, as well as clarify a few things that we are now aware of.
[There are some sounds, as Raine types in a few commands to access and replay the recording from last month.]

PREVIOUS RECORDING]
I'm aware that it is a lot to absorb, so please listen as well as you can, or replay it and take notes for your own personal references.
In regard to our current situation:
One of the major things to be taken into consideration is that we now are aware that the "transparent old man" referenced above has recently come into high power in the Malnosso Organization. He refers to himself as "Catherine".
... It is my understanding that some of you have been relaying sensitive information to him that we have been trying to keep out of the hands of the Malnosso; I do not know the extent of what was revealed, but please, please take caution in future conversations. It seems that the Malnosso Organization seems to change hands fairly often - so it would not be wise to get too comfortable with a seemingly benevolent CEO, even though we should make the best of his good intentions.
It has been nearly a week since the first official draft . For those unaware, we have been approached by the Organization to fight in the war against the Third Party - on the outside. While residents offered themselves as draftees, there were others who were taken against their will, meaning that almost anyone is at a risk for being summoned for battle. More details on this will come sometime after thoseiti who were sent out are returned to the barrier. We do not know the state that some of our fellow residents may be returning in, so doctors and clinic staff, please make sure you're prepared.
A very important thing to note, however, is that apparently the Filial Magic does not work out there. Also, if you are a non-combatant, I strongly suggest that you take the steps to learn - at the very least - some basic self defense. If there is anyone who can offer instruction for those who may be in need, please speak up about it, as soon as you can. The more there are, the more arrangements that can be made.
[Additional Filter, Against Known Luceti Villains]
Katara recently voiced a suggestion about setting up bells for residents to find and ring in the village in case they were under duress and weren't able to use their journal. It seems like a task that all groups could find a way to work together on, and likely wouldn't take too much time to set up as long as the locations of the bells were delivered to all of the residents afterward. You're welcome to work out the details for that under this additional lock, though it may be best if you had a meeting about it.
[/ Additional Filter]
There also was a recent suggestion about possibly building small canoes or something along those lines for faster travel to the lake. If anyone is interested in looking into that, some residents may be appreciative of them.
Just as a reminder, Hugo is still maintaining the
suggestion box in the village, if there are ... reasonable ... ideas that can be addressed that you'd rather make off the journals.
Feel free to make suggestions and discuss them among yourselves here as well.
I thank you for your time.
