Home Sweet Home-[Forbidden Mountain-Open]

The dark portal brought her to her once humble abode. It was just as she had left it, admittedly with a few more cobwebs, but still it was dark and it was gloomy. It was home. This place would be able to keep her hidden from her enemies until she was strong enough to deal with them as she saw fit. Her body was weak, her death had taken so much out ( Read more... )

Slade did not speak right away. He glanced around using his only eye, but without moving his head. He was aware that she was still very exhausted, but until she dismissed him he wasn't going to ask if she needed to rest.

He also noticed that they were on a different world. There were subtle differences in the air that most people wouldn't have noticed. This place suited her very well, it was dark but beautiful, in it's own way.

He remained silent and watched her, waiting for her to tell him whatever she wanted to. He was willing to do what she needed of him, within reason of course. If he was uncomfortable waiting he didn't show it. If he was awed by her ability to transport he also didn't show it, after all he came from a world were different abilities were rampant.

Slade nodded once, just a slight acknowledgment with the bow of his head. "Let me do whatever you wish for me to do while you are recuperating, Mistress," he said very carefully, as if it would be his honor to be her errand boy. Still, if she could control the Heartless...

That was very risky, playing with the Darkness, which was the one reason Slade had yet to try it. He knew they could be useful but he also didn't want to risk losing himself again. He wondered how this would turn out.

Maleficent allowed an odd smirk--the closest thing to a smile-- to grace her features. There was no hiding how pleased she already was with this new minion, but still she could not fully accept him until he had proved himself ( ... )
